Steve Gutkowski
My goal is to expand my knowledge of the CNC machining centers, and CNC turning centers.
Through my experience I've learned different methods of becoming more efficient by maximizing tool life, and machine capabilities.
I began machining in a small job shop where I learned about CNC machining. I was doing a lot of programming from the controls using G and M code, set up all operations, operated both vertical and horizontal 4 axis machines using Fanuc, Fadal and Haas controls.
I have also learned how to program and run a Flow water jet, used to cut parts from soft materials, and use abrasive media to cut parts out of metal up to 2 inches thick.
Currently programming using Gibbs cam, and in my spare time I'm also learning a little on Solidworks CAD program.
I've picked up a little welding using MIG, and TIG welding practices.
