I started with this company in the frame assembly area. Putting together the frames for the furniture. Then I transferred to the rough mill area. Running saws and small machines, making the parts needed in the frame assembly area. From there I transferred to being a flow coordinator. This position your responsible for ensuring that all the operators have what they need to do their jobs when they need it. From here I became a Group Leader. This is where I learned how to manage people, with their input. How to lead a group in insuring that units that needed to ship were shipped. I also made sure that the standard for quality was upheld during and after the work and process. I’m very good at lean manufacturing. And am currently enrolled in the course Six Sigma Measure and Analyze.

For this I worked in the area where the tops of furniture were put together. For example: table tops, and the seats of chairs, etc. Then I moved to the saw area that took the rough lumber and cut it down to the size that it needed to be to put together the table tops, seats, etc. During my employment here I ran numerous small machines.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE OR LEADERSHIP

My leadership experience has been formed around my current position as Group Leader. I’ve been a Group Leader for almost three years now, and I believe I’ve gained a very good insight to how people will work and view any management position. I believe myself to be an excellent motivator who has no trouble giving the team their praise and credit for their accomplishments.
