PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Grew the company *,*** percent in the time I was President, growing from $500,000 to over $20 million in annual sales. Profit Margins increased by 8 percent average. I was the mentor for both new estimators and project managers as the company grew. I helped develop a safety program with check lists to provide better safety for employees. I developed the annual budgets and conducted regular meetings with staff to review budget comparisons with actual; reviewed job progress, budgets and quality; estimating accuracy and analysis of bid tabulations; and opened communication lines between office and field operations, which facilitated stronger communication and the ability to head off issues before they became critical. I managed most of our Team-Build projects, reviewing plans and specifications to comply with Owner guidelines and oversaw the development of pre-construction estimates and construction schedules. I oversaw the pre-construction meetings for each project with the estimator, project manager and subcontractors. After each project was completed I oversaw the close-out and hand-off to the Owner, enhancing the communication between the construction team and the Owner, ensuring we had a smooth transition. I implemented systems to improve process efficiency and reduce the project duration after interviewing both office and field personnel for input. I supported the estimating, construction management and office personnel whenever that support was requested or required. At one time I managed 38 employees. Developed detailed job descriptions and responsibilities for each employee.
