DECKER BROTHERS RECYCLING/ APRIL. 2012-FEBRUARY 2017
.
I handled incoming customers, sorted and itemized their material, and directed the material to its location in our warehouse
I used the forklift to dump metal hoppers of their material. I worked production, using the metal balers to consolidate the material into portable blocks so they could be shipped out.
I worked closely with my employer, Leo Leilich.Since we bought aluminum, brass, stainless, and copper, I had to buy material and evaluate it. If it was dirty and needed extra labor to make it profitable, I had to price it accordingly.
Ultimately, high rent and a customer slow down, caused my boss to close the doors. He kept four out of six employees to make the warehouse available to the landlord. My final day was February 24th.

Traditional Housecleaning
John Perchalla and I were business partners for eight years. We worked in large single family homes, one a day, on a recurring monthly basis.
John's formula seemed excessive to some, but we were never without work. We made good money and had happy customers eager for the next visit. I did all the driving, and I developed eye trouble. Loading, unloading, using my own insurance, and super long days made the job a little harder than it had to be. As a lift truck operator I received product that was delivered and take it to the proper storage location.

LONGEST JOB HELD (12 YEARS)/ RECEIVING CLERK
Lustine Gm Parts 4510 Longfellow Street Hyattsville, Md I was the receiving manager for Lustine Chevrolet's parts department Arguably, the precursor of Amazon, Lustine was a superstore of auto parts that promised same day delivery. Rob Spiegel bought trailer loads of parts and diversified the inventory to carry lots more than Chevrolet. The Lustine family sold the business in 1996 and the parts department was closed. I left a year before to pursue another direction.
