Career Highlights
1) Recipient of Kraft Foods ‘Highest Merit Award’ for implementing Supply Chain processes that reduced costs in the first year by $100 million, $65 million in second year and $30 million in the third year. Consequently, realized multi-million-dollar savings by focusing on demand and inventory management, warehouse consolidation, logistics routing and mode, value analysis, systems purchases, global sourcing, vendor rationalization and development, cost modeling, cost driver analysis and the utilization of performance metrics.
2) As result of several mergers and acquisitions led the reorganization of Supply Chain processes and technologies in merged entities. Analyzed and developed what incremental benefit would be achieved as a result of supply chain synergies in proposed acquisitions, led due diligence activities to aid in the valuations. Created organizational design, developed position descriptions, recruiting and staffing the new organizations.
3) Led a team of 24 consultants during a 3-year period for Sears Roebuck to design and implement a new purchasing department for an indirect spend of $6 billion reducing costs by $300 million. Developed 9 sourcing categories, including an IT search engine and item master for all parts. Subsequently, developed all position descriptions and hired 9 purchasing directors, and a staff of 99. Resold the project 3 times for total revenue of $14 million
4)Charged with managing a 30-month engagement for Pride International to revamp all aspects of their supply chain functions while simultaneously training all supply chain and field staff globally on SCM, forecasting and demand management, strategic sourcing in the following locations: Asia, Brazil, Mexico, Angola, South Africa, India, Egypt, and France. Distribution savings were $9 million and working capital improvement of $20 million. Consulting revenue $ 3.6 million
