Project# 1
At Aviva Canada this task required conscientiously examining the QA test needs of its proprietary tool (Calligo) for generating policy and underwriting documents to permit publishing. .
*Using HP-QC tool to note, examine and systematically log defects.
*Employed a “test to break” approach on features and clarified ambiguous requirements to ensure the effectiveness of all tests plans.
*Communicated clearly with developers and the project manager to ensure all features are being tested.
*Ensured there was data integrity, executed SIT (System Integration Testing) and
UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
*Following company standards and best practices, responsible for migrating Aviva Calligo over to the new HP Exstream Publishing Application.
*In a proactive manner submitted key deliverables such as Test Plans and Test Cases using document inputs such as Use Case Documents, Business Requirements, and Functional Specifications.
*Focused on regression testing and working in parallel with developers to isolate defects.
Project# 2
In a focused approach my responsibilities for “Leisure Court” Project goal were verifying, as a test objective, the insurance quote parameters for calculating the overall insurance premium. The user logs in and is allocated in the context of “normal”, “power” and “niche” and users input data to determine the quotes and premiums that brokers establish.
*In a methodical manner used HP ALM for requirement traceability, coverage and defect tracking.
*Participated with developers in regression testing taking software snap shots and comparing for any unusual changes or defects.
*Accomplished AD-Hoc testing to ensure the product was ready for deployment in a “live” environment.
Project# 3
Broker Management System application verified that client and policy data entered in to the BMS, in real time transfer, was uploaded from the BMS to the WIP database on the Broker Portal. During the real time upload process, the data from the BMS was converted using CSIO standards and passed on in a format compatible with the Aviva system.
*Developing test method for Use case, State transition, Load, Usability, Volume and Decision table testing.
*Responsible for validating QA & Test server by examining dynamic data flow, communication and sessions.
*Accurately assessed the dynamic system behavior, the expected output and the actual output to define the defect characteristic.
*Called meetings regularly to schedule test reviews and actions accordingly.
*Clearly and accurately created reports so that the developer could get the necessary information (e.g. The OS, Browser type or version).
*Preparation of Weekly Status reports to identify progress and resolution of items.
Project# 4
Crypto Mill was a tool allowing one to protect data simply by selecting a folder and assigning it to software Trust Boundary Manager. Files within, or copied into, this folder would then be automatically protected. File Sharing with others meant inviting them to be a part of your “Trust Boundary” using their email address so that files were accessible.
*Identified test requirements from specifications, mapped test cases requirements and designed test coverage plans.
*Examined data flow defects and reporting utilizing Bugzilla, and resolved these defects in an efficient manner.
*Contributed enthusiastically to client meetings, to ensure progress and deliverables are of the highest quality.
Project# 5
BMW – The objective of the car maker’s website is to generate an initial message to website visitors (warning) noting the use of cookies on the site. There was then a feature to select “Province”. Once selected, the province data would be remembered and available to pass through to any other section of BMW.ca. It meant that an entry conflict could not occur as province preference is already stored as a cookie.
*Verified that if or any personal data is stored in cookies it should be stored in encrypted format.
*Checked that cookies worked on all browsers and at there were not any page crash due to disabling the cookies.
*Ensured test completeness for hands on end-to-end Mobile testing of the Mobile Applications with real devices such as Android, IPad etc.
*Performed Cross Browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome) and Cross Platform Testing (Android, IOS, Mac)
*Prepared Summary reports reflecting Testing Status & Defect Status as part of document quality control procedures.
EZappt Appointment. CA - USA March 2011 – March 2012
Role: - QA Analyst
The EZappt Appointment Management System is a 24-hour service staff; capable of registering clients/staff and resources and displaying available schedules.
*Developed a comprehensive suite of test cases to test the requirement to lower lobby wait times, allowing client self-service booking, tracking client history, managing arrivals.
*In a team environment identified the priorities and appropriate strategy to create a test plan.
*Using various spreadsheets and files performed Test Case Management to monitor reporting & tracking.
*At the start of work configured the logging mechanism in terms of the “log level” for All, Info, Debug, Error, Warn and None.

Role: Software Developer
Hitechpoint is a product and Services Company whose flagship product Black-box is a real time web based vehicle tracking system meant to track the location and other information of vehicles in real time. This unit receives information from GPS Satellite and transmits data through GPRS. There are clustered servers that receive data and processes data obtained from black box. The servers receive and process the real time data from the Black-box GPS device to be made available to the customers to track their fleet of vehicles. The customers either use the web interface or the rich client application to monitor their Black-box enabled vehicles in real time.
