I am a Master’s student pursuing Information Technology and Management and seeking full time employment as a business analyst. I have experience working in business analytics in ecommerce. I have worked with end-users, stakeholders and management to improve the client experience. President: TEDxIIT, Chicago, IL USA November 2016 - present TEDxIIT is a student organization that hosts an independent TED like event on the IIT campus featuring speakers from the IIT community and extended family. The event has been open to the global community since 2011. At TEDxIIT, I am responsible for strategic planning, fundraising and marketing. I am also responsible for communication with outside student groups, university administration and faculty. Analyst: Housing.com, Mumbai, India June 2014 – July 2015 Housing.com is a Mumbai-based real estate search portal that allows customers to search for housing based upon end-user criteria. My role was the addition of specific functionalities to the search engine as per client specifications. I was tasked with increasing site traffic on the portal using search engine marketing tool Google Adwords which helped me gain good experience in the complete Google AdWords life cycle involving Internet Browsing, Keywords and Analytics. I was also actively involved in all the phases on the software development life cycle. This project required effective communication with stakeholders, end users and upper management. Working together with the development team and the Project Coordination Team to ensure that clients' business needs have been met. Supporting the assigned project manager with creating UML diagrams, detailed project plans and assisting in developing, scheduling and tracking project timelines. It also helped me gain experience in SQL queries to retrieve and validate data, prepared for data mapping document. I designed tables, views, various SQL queries, stored procedures and functions. My solution allowed the customers to perform their real estate search according to their requirements and led to complete customer satisfaction and helped the company retain a valuable client. PROJECTS AND RESEARCH

● Executive Compensation Analysis

Analysis of executive compensation data extracted from the DEF 14A form by performing standardized clustering, coding and report generation in SAS, creating crystal reports in Tableau. Based on the reports generated, as analysis was carried out to extract information on the overall performance on the executives and the company.

● Designing Data Warehouse for Educational Institution Extraction, Transformation and Loading of large amount of data from Pentaho Data Integration tool into SQL Yog Community using Kimball & Inmon’s approach of Warehousing. Involved in dimensional modeling to design the data warehouse. Implementation of SQL queries to retrieve, modify and update the data in the designed database and visualize the data so as to make a visual comparison using pie charts, bar graphs and continuous charts.

● Multiplayer Distributed Monopoly Game Bonus Round Design Designed a bonus round in monopoly game using advanced java object oriented concepts such as Polymorphism, Inheritance and Concurrency for effective handling of data and speeding up the data processing by using parallel constructs.

● Database Designing

Database maintenance & recovery for Education training firm using advanced concepts of databases. Created ER diagram and implemented various SQL queries to retrieve data from the designed database using triggers, creating views and joining various tables to analyze and visualize data.

● Research paper on Cloud Web Services to study about the recent advances in software data modelling and services provided by market leaders such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. As a part of the case study, I also compared various other cloud solutions which provide services to businesses operating in niche areas such as IBM Watson which uses IBM cloud and part of big data frameworks for statistical analysis by MathWorks.
