My Skillset

EXPERIENCE: Data Center Lead Tech role with SAP

I was given approx. 18 cells to move with 3-5 days to migrate each cell. I had to map out the current environment and use it to create a new layout for the new location. I managed a team of 3 guys, cut down from the proposed 5 guys. And trained them along the way to be a better technician and a team player. I was not originally the lead to start the project but within 2 weeks I was given the reins to run it the way I see fit. Each cell contained approx. 36 Servers and switches.

Each cell required; Origin mapping, new location landscape design and new mapping for cables. We used current cables or used new cables if needed. We labeled the cables for easy tracing. We cabled each rack very clean to provide good airflow.

I took care of all of the storage arrays setups. I did the cabling for Net-Apps systems, EMC Data Domains, and a little bit of HPs 3Par. I consulted with SAPs own IT Network staff and gave them recommendations from my past experiences.

At the projects end, I received kudos from all the engineers and Network teams on my performance.
