As I watched the video, I thought it was pretty good the first time I had spoken more than a couple of sentences in the past five years. Since my injury I only talked to my dog most of the time. I took notice that I did not give a speech but just told a story. There was a point that I was trying to get across to the young ones, but after my medication hit me I had a hard time. I could not remember the plan I had rehearsed. I could not remember what I was saying while I was saying it. Also, I am two generations apart from them and I need to learn my audience. My humor is outdated. To improve, I believe I have to try to learn from my grandchildren as to what their interests are so that I may relate to the students in class better. I should not come on to strong. I looked into their faces and saw that everyone was a bit intimidated by me. I am sorry. I know that I have a lot of room for improvement. I know that with practice, I will be able to overcome the obstacles that plague me at this time.
