JOB SUPERINTENDENT.Conducted planning on jobs, scheduled work crews, coordinated with owners the quality of work conducted, the timely manner in which work was completed, and any changes in the work to be completed. Made sure all work complied with local codes and that all work was performed in a safe manner according to OSHA’s safety guidelines. I was able to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy for each of the projects. There was no loss of work due to accident on either job. All work was completed with the highest work quality and to the owners’ satisfaction. Kept my company informed on work progress through the use of images and daily reports along with a weekly 2-week look-ahead schedule that I compiled.

April 2014 to September 2015: Texas Alliance Group

Superintendent. Managed the construction of AutoZone stores. Supervised ground up construction. Reported daily to project manager both verbally and with the Daily Field Report about job progress. Scheduled sub-contractors. Checked all work for quality assurance. Handled and overcame all problems that arose within the job.

Timely delivered a Certificate of Occupancy to store owners. Was able to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy for a second store in which the temporary certificate expired.

Maintained a safe and organized work atmosphere.

Communicated with corporation to achieve all their goals and expectations. Scheduled timely delivery of materials.

Sent photos daily ensuring that the corporation could see continuing progress. Submitted two week work schedules each week to ensure that the plans, goals, and development agreed with my project manager’s expectations. From the ground up,

Superintendent

Construction and remodeling of multi-family housing. These jobs range from 6 million to 28 million dollars. Stayed on critical lined schedule. Built ground up two major complexes totaling 185 units. Oversaw employees, maintained safety at the job site, communicated with employer and property owners, stayed within job budgets, made job schedules, oversaw subs and inspected work, kept job clean, efficiently ordered material for job, and reported to employer about job progression.

Make sure that work areas are clean of debris and maintain a safe working environment and follow all of OSHA’s safety rules. Send weekly photographs to district manager, check all work to insure that it’s done with high standard of craftsmanship and that it meets specifications of the job’s blueprints.

Hired dependable, safety-minded employees. Started and implemented drug screening plan. Focused on job safety as well as avoiding a single loss of time due to avoidance of an accident on the job.

Southeastern Construction Company (Superintendent) May 1996 to December 1999

Traveled the southeastern regions of the United States and constructed mall stores such as Victoria's Secret, Wal-Mart stores, Electronic Jungle, Athletics, American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body, as well as Abercrombie and Fitch. My duties included overseeing construction, scheduling work crews, on time work completion, maintaining safety on the job site, staying within or under job budget, constantly communicating with employer regarding details attaining to the job site, ordering goods through local distributors, keeping inventory of job materials, keeping steady job tempo and communicating with store owners as well as employer. Hired subcontractors and laborers.

TECHNICAL Skills

Working knowledge of all OSHA’s construction laws and advanced knowledge on laptop computer skills. Good communication skills. Working knowledge of commercial building. Ability to manage others. Ability to manage time efficiently. Able to multi-task. Well-organized and make good use of time.

Certifications

Certified in powder-activated fastening systems. Certified in scaffold building. Have taken OSHA’s courses in the past for safety certification. Certified in CPR.

Enjoys reading, playing golf, and fishing.

Purpose

Due to my experience and education, I am looking for a company that needs work and safety organization. During my collegian studies, I entered the Master’s Degree program in Industrial Psychology with a strong emphasis on OSHA’s laws and the hiring process. With my strong construction background, I have the skills and background that I can offer an employer. I am very dependable, safety oriented, and equipped with communication skills as well as intelligence. I am looking for a long time relationship with the right company. Also, during my career in management, I have never had a loss of time due to an accident.
