KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Development

Design prototypes, perform test and finalize product design to facilitate mass production.

Analyze new concepts, materials and technologies to evaluate functionality for all new product development.

Responsible for process flow, control plan, process FMEA & validation.

Conducting preparatory activates of the pilot to mass production stage.

Evaluate and correct the dimensional variation while production by means of accurate quality measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, CMM, Profile Projector, Roughness Tester etc.

Knowledge about GD&T

Conducting Defect Matrix Analysis based on QC 7 tools

Evaluate and improve on process in manufacturing systems.

Improve process capability and production volume while maintain quality standards &

Select suppliers for equipment, techno-commercial comparison

Jigs and fixtures concept designing & Preparing of sourcing secondary process contingency

2. Vendor Development

•Responsible for Sourcing and Development of Sheet metal Parts.

•Identification of relevant suppliers by using already existing supplier base.

•Sending RFQ to identified supplier to get commercial proposal in line with requirements specified in RFQ.

•Supplier choose by conducting supplier assessment and comparative costing

•Draw up a plan to develop/procure components with vendors within time, cost and quality objectives.

•Releasing PO to finalized suppliers to kick-off part development

•Commodity Searching.

3. Costing

•ZBC for part cost estimation of all Assembly and respective child parts.

•Part and tool cost negotiation with suppliers as per target price. And interacting with the Marketing team to support finalizing new projects price with customer.

•Price settlement for Engineering changes after SOP.

•Price negotiation and settlement for VAVE cost reduction

4. Vendor Management

•De- Risking by alternate source planning and exploring supplier capability.

•Ensure Regular Supply chain and feed the production line with cleared parts as per the Vehicle production plan.

•To get capacity confirmation during production Ramp-Up.

•Value Added/Value Engineering

•Generating VAVE ideas by Brain Storming, Tear Down and visiting Suppliers.

•Carrying feasibility study for generated ideas to identify the potential ideas.

•Segregation of potential ideas and effective implementation of the same to achieve the cost reduction target.
