WORK EXPERIENCE

Plant Operator / Kettle operator

Dow Chemical - Croydon, PA - March 2008 to May 2016 Operate,control,monitor batch in kettle. Take readings every 15 min, making sure temperature stays in range and all tanks feeding to reactor are feeding at righ rate set by tech service and the s.o.p. (safe operating procedures ) adjust rate if necessary, using control system do trouble shooting skills to resolve deviations and process problems. Work with team members to overcome obstacles, monitor and correct both in-process and final product.

Preform tasks assigned by master task list (mtl), due monthly inspections, field checks,rework,samples,prepare equipment for lock out tag out, red tag master (rtm) write premits,yellow tag for open ended connections, do minor repairs, follow the sop. Start up and shut down all process equipment. Arrange for shift coverage and emergency maintenance call ins.Participate in training new employees, completing department required and annual required personal training.

Participate in hiring, preform immediate response activities to address plant issues. Participate and lead department safety meetings and morning production meetings, verbal communication inside at outside work group. Convey information at shift relief. Use work process tools, master task list, electronic logbook,Web edms (electronic document management system), batch tracker, batch card printer,red tag master,my learning, shift relief, use voicemail,e-mail, logbook,mtl, complete paper work,Dow enterprise work station,basic system and software including, file explorer, Internet explorer,Microsoft outlook, word,excel,and power point, basic windows navigation, file structure,create/copy/delete files, desk top shortcuts data entry. Dow Chemical - Croydon, PA - March 2002 to March 2008 Rotated 12 hour shifts, Rotated between 5 jobs, Kason transfered finished product from drain tanks to different storage tanks, filtered batches if not in spec.through filter pots and sweco, set up hoses throw a wilder pump for transfer. Cru 3 kason same as above but on smaller scale. Front and Back truck racks Load finished product in to tank trucks for customers to be shipped out either that day or the next.

Raw Material Operator Off loading raw material railcars to raw material storage tanks, assist other operators with tasks, Load drum line with drums for the operators, picking full drums off drum line place on pallet and take to warehouse using forklift. (Forklift cert.) Taking samples to lab, housekeeping, making sure work areas are neat and clear of debris
