Responsible for nine campus style warehouses with over 2 million square feet of space, with Wi-Fi support for MTS warehouse systems and network infrastructure. Initiated wireless high speed licensed and unlicensed connection to campus warehouse/office space in Waukegan, IL.

Managed technology for over 800 end users in 12 remote locations including Microsoft Domain network, Microsoft Exchange 2010, telephone support of the I3 CIC IP phone system, and print/file servers.

Moved from a MPLS managed network to a high speed AVPN managed network for five remote companies in CA, WI and IL.

Provided support for new sites, network connections, telephone access and internet connections.

Responsible for IVR, NT/2000 Servers, Nortel Meridian1 PBX, Meridian Mail, Cisco Systems 10/100 Switched Ethernet Network, 9 DCs, VPN support, 80 Outside Sales Laptops, 650 desktop PCs, 125 Cellphones, BlackBerry handheld devices, and internal support for special IS projects.

Supported the implementation of UPS ConnectShip in all DC’s with Zebra printers, handheld bar-code scanners and PC set-ups.

Responsible for managing and launching a new ERP system on an AS/400 platform.

Reduced telecomm costs by $200,000 per month by eliminating corporate sponsored cellphones, duplicate service, underutilized circuits, and utilizing the Internet for replacement services.

Managed General Contractor duties on building a $750,000 Unix computer room, $150,000 move of an entire floor and $350,000 buildout of a 200 seat/cubical development team work area.

Managed the institution of layer 3 switching (Cisco’s NetFlow Switching technology). Provide high-speed redundant trunks using a combination of Fast EtherChannel and ISL. Replaced the ATM (LANE) trunking with switched fabric (ISL trunking).

Coordinated the design of a branch office-computing standard for all North American sites using Microsoft’s services and security model (DHCP, DNS, WINS, Master Domain Model). Implementation in progress.

Worked with internal teams to dramatically revamp a 1000 node network that had routinely experienced 2 hours of network outages per week. Site included HP-UX servers, RS-6000’s, DEC Servers, UNIX workstations, AS/400's, Windows NT, OS/2, Windows 95 and Windows 3.1. Topology comprised of Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Token-Ring. Protocols include IP, IPX, Appletalk, and LLC2.

Designed, reached approval, implemented, monitored, and adjusted the 50-node frame relay network. Worked with global managers to reach a new IP address structure (class A).

Managed the design and implementation of a ‘Mega Computing Center’ concept that was deployed at 4 global locations.
