I'm a LAMP stack developer who is looking to make a career change to Linux system administration. I have done informal system administration for a long time for development boxes for development teams. I simply enjoy system type work a lot more than web-development. I'm looking for someone to value these skills, and for a place for me to thrive given that opportunity.

Linux System administration (Centos & Debian)
Experience Patching servers with yum and aptitude
ZFS on Linux experience (a little bit under Illumos, Openindiana)
LAMP stack administration, Apache, MySQL, and PHP7 on Centos 6 and 7.

Homestar group – PHP Developer (January 2017 - Present):
Develop an internal business suite for the company (LAMP application). Tasks assignments, personnel tracking.
Manage development and production environments on Amazon's EC2 environment. Georgia Gwinnett College - Application Developer II (February 2012 – December 2016):
Work with college stake holders to capture requirements and design and develop custom software solutions. Examples include:
o Housing Access Management software and hardware implementation which saved the college over 100K compared to off-the-shelf solution (PHP, Mysql, jquery)
o Application for Workflow managing for Curriculum Committee proposals (PHP, Mysql, CLIPS)
o Application to Allow public safety to manage parking registrations (LAMP stack) o Institutional research application for tracking writing skills improvement across the college (LAMP stack).

Home development lab: I run all my development machines on a set of servers running a combination of Ubuntu and CentOS installations. VirtualBox as the hypervisor and ZFS serving VDI drives over an NFS mount.
