Supervised staff of twenty (20) Counselors/Mentors in a Mental Health residential
facility providing daily services to the young adult clients which included tutoring,
counseling, assistance in daily living choices, maintaining medical and dental appointments, providing
guidance in their pursuit of higher education and independent living choices for specific clients based on
their achievement and abilities, payroll, work scheduling for all counselors, and financial management
of daily expenditures .
Irvington Board of Education - Irvington, NJ School Bus . Administrator
Developed procedures and managed all support operations for the Irvington Public School District
which included Security operations, Maintenance/ Buildings & Grounds, Transportation
Services, Food Services, Insurances, Negotiations, and New school capital construction, and
Grant writing . Directly involved in the planning and development stages of two new schools and
the renovations of seven elementary schools involving a cost of approximately one hundred million
dollars ( $ 100,000,000.00 ) from 1988 through 2008 . Supervised a staff of four hundred (400)
employees, and co managed an annual budget of $150,000,000.00 .
Essex County Vocational Schools - East Orange, NJ School Bus. Admin.
Managed and supervised all support services for the four Essex County Vocational & Technical High
Schools within Essex County from 1991 through 1993. Managed the Security operations, Maintenance
and Custodial Services, Food Services, Transportation activities, Budgeting and Financial management .
Supervised a staff of approximately one hundred and twenty five ( 125 ) employees, with an annual
budget of $25,000,000.00 .

providing instruction in Sociology 101 – Introduction to Sociology,

Early Childhood Education, a pre requisite course for those interested in pursuing
careers in Early childhood or owning a Day Care facility .
Township of Irvington – Irvington, NJ Mayor
1990 1994
Elected to public office as Mayor of Irvington,NJ in 1990. Served as Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) of the Township for four years . Duties included the daily oversight of
eight (8) major municipal operations : Police and Fire Services, Public Works, Health Services,
Finances and Budgeting, Tax Collections and Assessments, Building construction services, and Parks
and Recreational services. Responsible for an annual municipal budget of Eighty million dollars
($ 80,000,000.00) .
Township of Irvington – Irvington, NJ Business Administrator

Assisted the Mayor in the daily operations of the Township’s affairs . Provided direct
oversight and assistance to all Departmental Directors . Prepared annual Township budget
and managed the finances of the Township . Interacted with the Municipal Council on behalf
of the Mayor as required, and assisted the Mayor in the preparation of all presentations before the
Municipal Council . Sought and wrote various grants for County, State, and Federal funds to
offset the municipal budget, where possible. Worked closely with local, county, state, and
federal branches of government.

Assisted the Mayor in all aspects of community relations and neighborhood
activities. Developed Neighborhood Block watch programs in conjunction with
the local Police Department throughout the Township. Cooperated with all community
