We exist to make a difference in people’s lives through excellent patient care.
Leading with my Talent of "Exactness"
You like to have a place for everything and have everything in its place. Always striving to improve, you often think about ways to get better and seek to make positive changes. You care about looking professional and realize that being neat and well organized makes a good impression on others. Bringing order to chaotic environments helps you feel more in control of what you can achieve. Working under pressure or in stressful situations comes naturally to you because of your ability to see what needs to be done and calmly move forward. You can often “read” the pulse of the organization and are willing to speak up for what you believe is right. For you, orderliness is simply a way of life.
Create a checklist each day so you can track your progress; getting your highest priority work completed in a timely manner will give you an opportunity to pitch in and help others when needed or take on additional projects that will benefit patients. It will also allow you to keep a close eye on details and multitask without making errors.
Create organizational systems to simplify your work and increase your productivity. By streamlining existing processes and procedures, you will increase your opportunities to provide seamless service to patients. Volunteer to pioneer new programs at work to help ensure smoother transitions and seamless implementations.
In order to add organization and structure to your work, evaluate your work environment to determine what is going well and what could be improved. Your eye for detail and desire for efficiency will help you know which changes would be the most beneficial. Share your best practices with co-workers, and take the lead in implementing processes or systems that increase efficiency.
Leading with my Talent of "Work Intensity"
You tend to think about work regardless of the hour of the day and are always ready to work hard for a good cause. You sometimes even wake up in the middle of the night with a solution to an issue at work. Continuously productive, you are always looking for the next big task or project on which to work once your primary objectives have been achieved. You take ownership for your work and have no reservations about staying late or coming in early to meet important deadlines. You miss very few days of work and manage your time wisely. You find fulfillment in your work and are consistently productive. Able to establish clear priorities, you are good at coping with deadlines and able to take control of your environment to bring about positive results.
Seek out individuals in similar positions with whom you can partner to identify best practices and enhance both of your performances. Continue to be open to new experiences and approaches that will increase your effectiveness and move our organization forward.
Take advantage of learning opportunities, and seek input from your leaders to determine how you can continue to advance, both personally and professionally. Embrace new challenges that will help you grow your talents, and volunteer to try out new processes in your department.
Touch base with your supervisor at the beginning of each week to discuss upcoming projects and the most important priorities on which you should focus your attention. Ask what his or her expectation is, and aim to achieve a bit more. This will ensure that you are not only productive, but also able to exceed the desired expectations.
Leading with my Talent of "Resilience"
You deal effectively with unique and stressful situations. You maintain your composure in tough situations and are often the “calm within the storm.” Meeting problems and issues head on is easy for you, as you relish a good challenge. Knowing there is always a better or more efficient way of doing things, you are good at overcoming resistance and the status quo to initiate improvements. Others often depend on you for help in resolving conflicts and identifying solutions to issues. You welcome change and embrace innovation for the potential it brings.
Continue to analyze the details surrounding issues and apply your logical mindset in creating solutions. Leverage your belief that there is usually a better way of doing things by sharing your ideas for enhancements to existing processes and helping others arrive at win-win solutions that lead to positive outcomes.
Leverage your optimistic outlook and ability to defuse negativity to help move your team members past obstacles; your positive attitude and ability to withstand and even thrive in chaotic environments enable you see solutions and resolve issues that others cannot.
Partner with individuals on your team who are feeling down or being negative; seek to determine the root cause by asking "why" several times in different ways before moving forward to find an effective resolution.
