I provided strategic sourcing leadership for the execution of the procurement of products used in Controls and Distribution Business Unit supply chains. I set up benchmarked pricing and stocking framework agreements with machining and fabrication suppliers in support of the Subsea Controls business unit. Under my leadership the team reduced machining costs by an average of 23%. Global Strategic Sourcing Manager – Forgings & Castings Highlights:

Assigned to manage forgings and castings development for Aker global business units. I Identified world class forging suppliers in Italy for subsea tree business units. Assisted buyers in Norway and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to establish framework and stocking agreements with selected suppliers to dramatically reduce costs and improve delivery availability.

Commodity Manager/Purchasing Manager

Highlights:

Responsible for the complete supply chain of three subsea riser projects to be fabricated and assembled in Malaysia by Aker. Identified and developed world class contoured ring forging suppliers in Italy and Mexico. Identified and developed machining and coating supplier in Singapore. Selected and developed machining sources for the boxes and pins in the US and China. Developed plan to deliver components to Malaysia to meet production schedules. Enventure Global Technology Houston, Texas 3/2001 – 8/2007 A joint venture of Shell Oil and Halliburton created to develop and commercialize the new expandable casing technology in drilling and rework applications.

Procurement and Manufacturing Manager

Developed a Supply Chain for a start-up company to manufacture and deliver products and services for global and domestic projects. Set up efficient and cost effective procurement group. Hired personnel and established planning and logistic groups. Developed and implemented all policies and procedures for the total Supply Chain. Responsibilities:

Direct and participate in the planning and procurement of all components necessary to complete the assemblies of equipment required for expansion project completions.

I directed a team of two buyers, two material planners and one expeditor.

Handled master scheduling and analyzed MRP data to guide manufacturing.

The team procured steel tubulars, contract machining, coating services and other necessary components from domestic and international suppliers.

Highlights:

Selected suppliers and assisted in the development of special chemistry line pipe for the expansion process. EGT worked with a US supplier and an Asian supplier in the pipe development program. Selected and assisted development of a partner supplier to manufacture a pipe thread suitable for the expansion process. Selected a US thread supplier and assisted in licensing the thread to other global thread shops in Batam Indonesia. Selected and assisted development of a partner supplier to produce a low friction ID coating for the pipe that is suitable for the expansion process. Selected a US supplier and assisted the supplier to expand by adding additional facilities in Indonesia. ABB Vetco Gray Houston, Texas 7/1997 – 3/2001

Developed machining, fabrication and coating scheduling for all riser components. Developed delivery schedules and logistics plans to insure all components were delivered and available to meet assembly schedules.
