Setup, configured and provisioned optical circuits in the FMT 150’s and FLM 150’s, 600’s, 2400’s, which are SONET systems that utilizes the Transport layer of the OSI. Set up, test and configure circuits in the TITAN 5500. Setup Fiber optic cable paths.

Verified DS0-DS3 circuits, upgraded and rolled circuits ranging from DS1-OC12.

Tested and verified systems utilizing T-berd 310, 311, 2209 and 2210 test and monitoring equipment.

Lead Network Engineer

Team Lead of 6 GTE Network Engineers contracted to INOVA Hospital. I trained, evaluated and supervised my team in the implementation of the new INOVA standard, which is NAL (Novell Application Launcher) and the migration of 3.x Servers to 4.x Servers (50) and built and configured all 4.x Servers. I also tested COTS and proprietary software for compatibility with NAL.

Configured and upgraded NT- Workstations. Migrated cc:Mail to Lotus Notes. My team checked Lan connectivity to other LANs associated in the INOVA system using Cisco Routers, IP addressing and TCP/IP.

We maintained and upgrade the NDS tree connected printers utilizing HP JetAdmin and upgraded all workstations (4500). Installed and Admin. Tivoli System management software. My area of responsibility was No. Va. (Fairfax, Fair Oaks, Mt. Vernon, Alexandria Hospitals and all associated clinics).
