Develop inventory control software for the used car industry using Borland Delphi Pro. v5.0 utilizing Extended Systems Advantage Database Server for Windows NT. Duties include writing code to stock in vehicles into inventory; maintain that inventory record, and searching for inventory items using SQL select statements. Entering and maintaining customer information. This allowed the user to enter a new customer into the system, search for specific customer records, also using SQL select statements, print credit apps, and pull credit reports via the web directly. I also wrote code to generate detailed reports for both Inventory, and Sales using Digital Metaphors Report Builder Enterprise edition. These reports used an on demand SQL statement built from user input and then channeled the resulting dataset into the report object. The main select statements would be comprised of Left Outer joins to join two tables as one so that fields in multiple tables can be used to select the main table records needed. The reports were in the form of templates that were loaded into the Report Builder report object and built by dropping components onto the Title, Header, Group Header, Detail, Group Footer, Summery, and Footer bands of the report object. Then code was placed in the components OnCalc or OnGetText event handler to perform specific functions for the given report object such as calculating the number of days a vehicle was on the lot. Converted our payment processing code from Delphi to C# .Net for our Web Payment portal. Reason for leaving: Sold to DealerSocket.

Sr. Electronics Tech
Maintain Hard Disk Preparation system on a Novell Netware 3.12 local area network. Help design ways to load software faster and more efficiently with above mentioned network. Build hardware and install Novell on this hardware to create new software loading file servers. Maintain product ID labeling system. Write software to analyze time to fail data to allow Test Engineers to set burn in time accordingly. This software was written using Visual BASIC 4.0 and the MS Access database engine. The software would read in data from flat text files and import the data into an Access table, it would then sort the data by the time to it took to fail and display the results in the form of a bar graph generated from a drop in component into the VB Application.
