Training

Six months training in PRODUCTION (Assembly) DEPARTMENT in Indo German Tool Room, Aurangabad.

Learning about the ASSEMBLY procedure of press tools, molds depending upon the requirement of product with the help of CAD/CAM technology.

Training in ASSEMBLY department helps me in understanding the concept of assembly and working of press tools right from design, manufacturing of component and assembly of press tools and molds.

Post Graduate Diploma Details

The course included Planning and executing the design of press tools, jigs and fixtures by using knowledge of CAD/CAM technology

Also, learned about various manufacturing processes and the tools required for its execution.

Project undertaken - “Design of Press tool for C-Washer” - This project involves designing of tool for C-washer. We started by calculating the required dimension of the component. On this basis, we designed the punch and die. Further the design of other components is done depending on the predefined formulae. We had a single blanking operation to be done to make the component. A basic design process was being followed starting with part model releasing on the basis of Bill of material followed by pre-machining processes (Drilling, Rough Milling) then precision machining process (Wire cut, Grinding, Reaming). At the end, some post machining processes (Surface finishing, Polishing) and heat treatment (Oil Hardening) and finally trial out.

Bachelors of Engineering Project

Animal Driven Prime Mover - In an effort to address the needs of rural peoples of India with engineering technological solutions and using sources readily available in the village for their betterment and providing them a source of facility. This project is done in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Industrialization (MGIRI).

This is a mechanism which uses very basic components and a mechanism which is being driven by animals in order to generate electricity, for pumping purpose and also can be used as chaff cutter.
