NIST (Contractor – Wireless SME (Bethesda, MD): Provide wireless cyber security guidance to NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technology) on LTE and WIFI access security threats and countermeasures related to the nationwide FirstNet public safety network for emergency responders in MOCNs (Multi-Operator Core Networks – Sprint, AT&T, Verizon). Provide NISTIR 8072 research on FirstNet/LTE/WIFI architectures.

RF and core microwave engineering SME responsible for integrating customer data networks (i.e. high-speed data, video, LAN/WAN access) with Harris microwave radio systems. Extensive knowledge of network interface devices required to transport voice and data traffic over microwave OC-3, xDS3, SONET, and T1 radios.

RF engineer microwave paths (using PathLoss and Google Earth) by evaluating link budget, received signal level, transmit antenna gain and height, path distance and terrain, Fresnel zones, and fade margins.
