I was responsible for editing speech samples for a study done by Dr. Benjamin Tucker in the Linguistics Department. I used Praat software and did boundary alignment on words as well as error frequency calculations. My main job was data input and organization of samples.
Summer 2014
Cashier; Food Preparation, Dairy Queen
I worked at the local Dairy Queen in Summerland. At the end of the summer I was promoted to supervisor but, unfortunately, I had to move back to Edmonton for school. I oversaw the high school students on the night shift.

Over the summer of 2013, I was a server at the golf course’s Country Club and handled all the men’s nights, special events, and tournaments.
Summer 2013
Server, Big E’s Bar and Grill
Over that same summer, I also worked part-time at a pub just one town over. Though it was busy, I enjoyed working at both establishments and the experiences I had at each.
2007-2013
Party Supervisor, Par-T-Perfect Okanagan
Over a seven year period, I worked part-time under my wonderful boss, Becky Kay, as a birthday party/event supervisor. I would bring blow up castles to an event and organize various activities for the group.
Summer 2012
Server; Director of Fun, Blue Tail Grill at the Ramada Inn Hotel & Suites
During the summer of 2012, I was a server around the pool deck at a popular hotel. A few days out of the week, I entertained the kids with activities and games in order to give their parents a much needed break.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
2016
Volunteer, iRSM Project at Misericordia Community Hospital
I began my volunteer journey at the Misericordia Hospital in August working under speech-language pathologists and research scientists, such as Dr. Aalto, who are integrating cutting-edge research in order to rehabilitate patients who have undergone facial reconstructive surgery.
2015
Volunteer, Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research (ISTAR)
I recently volunteered with ISTAR at the University of Alberta for a semester and had the privilege of working with a diverse group of people who suffer from a variety of speech deficits. I also did administrative tasks around the office to help out the secretaries.
2008-2014
Head Volunteer, Rotary International Children’s Festival
Over the span of seven years, I volunteered with an organization for the annual children’s festival they have. I was in charge of numerous stations such as face painting and arts/crafts.
