Recent Project Highlights:

These projects include broad experience in network design, re-design, implementation, and assessment.

-Campus LAN core refresh and upgrades from 6513 and 6509 to 6509-X and 6807-XL with 6800ia and 6840-X.

-Completed WLAN enhancement and re-design of eight hospital systems to include main campus and remote clinics. Configure Cisco 8510 and 2504 Wireless LAN Controllers and Cisco 3702i 802.11ac Wave 1 Access Points. Reviewing Cisco 3800 802.11ac Wave 2 future deployments. Cisco MSE (Mobility Service Engine) 3355. Cisco Prime NCS (Network Control System) version 3.2. Managed 67 Wireless LAN Controllers, 4000 LWAPPS, and averaged 22,000 concurrent users. Leveraged Adonis XMB and 800 appliances to hand out DHCP and DNS to Guest and Production networks.

-Completed Dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet MAN upgrade using Cisco ASR 1001 and 1002 IOS-XE 15.1. Upgraded small clinics, Surgery Centers, Imaging Centers from T1s to 100 Mbps MAN circuits. Primary routing protocols used BGP and OSPF.

- Cisco VoIP hardware and software: Cisco 3850, 3750-X, 4500-X, 6509-X POE Switches; Cisco 2921 and 3900 ISR routers; Cisco 7945G and 7925G Wireless IP Phones; VG224; Cisco Call Manager Express Service Module; and Cisco Unity Express.

-Upgraded Datacenter to Nexus 5548 and 5528 NX-OS 5.2(1).

-Network Engineer responsible for Network Management (Solarwinds, Voyence, eHealth, Spectrum, and NetQoS) leveraging SNMP, Netflow, and IP SLA. Evaluated and validated data collection and reporting capabilities. Perform network base lining and capacity planning. Managed 176,000 IP Address and 65,000 ports for Continental Division.

-Security Technology Refresh included upgrading two egress points to CheckPoint 4200 Appliances and hospitals to dual CheckPoint 1120 Appliances running R76 CheckPoint software. Primarily used SmartDashboard to configure firewall rules and NAT, and SmartView Tracker to view logs during troubleshooting. Upgraded existing Cisco ASA’s to 5506W-X and 5525-X for additional bandwidth throughput and netflow statistics.

-Six month contract at Comcast troubleshooting complex issues involving prefix lists, communities, and route maps

on 7609 and CRS-1 Cisco routers. Performed troubleshooting on ten gigabit, forty gigabit, OC48, and OC768 links. Worked on third shift responsible for reviewing and performing daily scheduled maintenances.

-International consulting for Cisco Optical Partner evaluation and technical skills assessment in Seoul, Korea.

-Four years of consulting experience within two ISP networks: one year Sprint and three years Level3 and Century Link.
