Director of Protective Services / Safety / Transportation

Ensured institutional safety and security through facility risk evaluations

to create effective safety policies and procedures. Performed safety

assessments, as well as fraud and abuse audits. Ensured regulatory

compliance in alignment with J.C.A.H.O., OSHA, HRS, AHCA, OIG, DOH, NFPA,

FDA and EPA standards. Oversaw the activities of 12 Protective Service and

Safety personnel, 2 secretaries and 4 transportation van drivers. Held

accountability for the Emergency Management Program, hazardous materials

and recycling initiatives.

. Met Palm Beach County qualifications and guidelines, and ensured

compliance of disaster control operations across the enterprise by

restructuring the Emergency Management Program.

. Instituted an Infant Abduction Plan, Workplace Violence Program, Bomb

Threat and Hostage Plan Safety Program at all medical facilities, and

. Redesigned the existing security system by upgrading all CCTV

equipment and access control functions in all facilities.

. Created a security and access control system for the new 100K sq. ft.

Cancer Center, and participated in the design of a proposed 400 bed

hospital facility.

. Established safety and loss prevention programs in alignment with

corporate requirements throughout the organization.

. Built and trained Haz-Mat teams in chemical spill response and

hazardous materials identification, and partnered in County and

Community Bioterrorism Response Teams training.

. Produced and implemented a Bio-terrorism Plan to interface with HICS

plan requirements in compliance with JCAHO standards, and trained

staff members' interaction with local emergency services and
