SELECTED PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Created and implemented a system of metrics. Utilized existing contractor, IORVL, and EMDC MM Processes and Procedures to refine and make all MM work groups remain in line with Operations Integrity Management and OIMS regulations and Safety on site. Understand that this project on site required a daily construction work force of 7,000 + workers and support staff. IMPACT: Brought attention to staff and department aware of the process and procedure and to understand the responsibilities related to materials that were countable to that group.
Initiated and directed Site MM group. Activity started with Fluor Infrastructure and cascaded out to the other five Tier 1 contractors onsite (3 Bitumen, 2 Earthworks & Mining). IMPACT: This allowed the Tier 1 contractors as well as the Start-up and Commissioning teams to quickly locate surplus/spare materials on hand in order to replace broken, missing or incorrectly installed items critical to Plant mechanical completion and commissioning.
Improved by 50% the tracking of international project materials. Interfaced SAP database fields with approved upper management desired Logistics Provider data. IMPACT: The process was streamlined and user friendly tracking system. EM is now using the system to track project and 2 year spare parts as well as consumables.
Oversaw the set-up of a temporary spare parts warehouse and operation in Venezuela. Transferred items to new facility, designed and set up the area floor plans, designed and set up the warehouse location system, coordinated activities to locate and bar-code the items, organized the warehouse operations, and trained the personnel. Provided training and services as senior catalog analyst for client’s warehouse facilities in Venezuela. Drafted warehouse operational manuals and initial related business plans. IMPACT: Based on pre-system installation data, these modified excel spreadsheets provided the reference material needed for efficient operation of a temporary warehouse facility as well as a reference guide for field mechanics.
