SUMMARY
I have been treating chronic pain conditions for ten years and in this time I have developed a strong belief that chronic conditions are not treated in a day, but with time. Patient behavior/compliance and its management are the keys of successfully managing chronic conditions and learned to excel in this component of patient care.
I strive to form long lasting relationships with patients and staff to promote optimum management of the entire person’s medical needs. This is not always with medication management and referrals, but with minimally invasive procedures and office injections, in which I am an expert.
I have come to appreciate the necessity of strong psychiatric care, most notably when treating pain, but with all chronic diseases. Having worked closely with psychologists, I have developed sensitivity and skills to identify mood disorders and treat them in order to improve patient outcomes and improve safety.
Trained to practice primarily in family medicine by my PA program, these skills were kept fresh with seeing patients from all walks of life. During PA training I enjoyed and thrived in the practice of dermatology.

Physician Assistant
Coordinated care of chronic pain patients with emphasis in interventional pain therapies and medication management. These therapies include intrathecal narcotic administration, spinal cord stimulation, spinal/joint injections and opioid medication management.

With the use of an unused laboratory room, I started and ran a thriving urine toxicology lab. This began as simple CLIA Waived lab with Medical Assistants for staff. Later after installing a Moderate Complexity Analyzer with my own lab staff, the lab was upgraded to High Complexity and was using a Liquid Chromatography tandem Mass Spectrometer.
