Industrial Engineer – Boeing Commercial Aircraft 7/11 to 12/16
Professional Engineer in both fabrication and assembly shops. Responsibilities included scheduling five axis CNC machines, coordinating with suppliers, delivering daily status reports on production and safety, quality assurance and compliance with ISO 9001 standards, 5S improvements, and management of SWIP.
Facilitated scheduling for 14 1,000 ton presses and 10 multi-bed 5 axis CNC machines to fabricate interior aircraft panels and ensure on time delivery to 18 customer assembly cells.
Analyzed current and projected aircraft configurations and delivery dates to level load production while coordinating with emergent production and coordinating scheduled and unscheduled down time. Daily production goals represented greater than 800 individual parts and assemblies across two shifts.
Managed projects including creation of SWIP lanes, Kanban carts, shop layout time studies and manning assessments. Report outs were delivered to general managers on a regular basis.
Provided LEAN leadership and 5S improvements to multiple work cells to increase production targets 34% to meet increased company production goals. Developed metrics and reported them daily to Senior management to provide overall health of work cells and recommend improvements.
Aircraft Mechanic – Washington Army National Guard 08/2005 to 07/2010
Mechanic on multiple airframes capable of troubleshooting, performing maintenance and component replacement, reading and interpreting blueprints, aircraft logbooks, manuals, technical publications, and performing write-ups.
Experienced working with turbine engines, multiple hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical and computer systems, sheet metal and airframes, battle damage assessment, and many others
