EXPERIENCE

Pipe fitter- ability to measure, sketch and order needed materials. Knowledge of shop mathematics and ability to read and understand prints/drawings. Ability to use a variety of power and hand tools. Ability to blank, isolate, remove clean, fabricate, repair, replace, test and install a variety of piping components in the shop and field.

Boilermaker- ability to remove, clean, repair, replace, test and install heat exchangers, fired heaters, boilers, vessels, and structures in the shop and field. Ability to cuts gaskets, replace process filter elements, lay out and install complete tower tray systems.

Rigger- ability to perform rigging task and operate rigging equipment. Ability to operate forklifts, “A” frame trucks, electric hoists and bridge cranes. Ability to select and use rigging equipment such as slings, cable, chain, blocks, shackles, etc. Ability to rig equipment such as pipe, pumps, motors, compressors, heat exchangers, condensers, etc. Ability to obtain and maintain a City of Los Angeles Crane Operator License. Ability to use proper hoisting signals and knowledge of stress limitations of booms, lines, cables, chains and other rigging equipment.

Fire watch- Control and extinguishes fires, watch out for the safety of welder and personnel. Prevent fires and hazardous gases in assigned areas of refineries (safety first priority), clean oil spills and other hazardous waste. Responsible for the safety of workers, test for flammable vapors. Tested oxygen deficiency level, blind and isolate all drains, make sure fire hose and ansul is on job site.
