EXPERIENCE: Senior Design Engineer (7/2004 to Present)

Designed several current sensors and various products for Virginia Class Nuclear Subs, the Zumwalt Destroyer and several others. Received Patent for Fluxgate Current Sensor in 2015 for the Virginia Class Sub.

I introduced and designed several new products for OSI; Rogowski current measurement systems and fluxgate current sensors. Many other designs too many to mention.

Conducted CE Mark testing, immunity and susceptibility testing. I also assembled their Technical Files.

I also fixed many problems with products. These include static, over temperature, conducted and RF noise problems.

Sales Engineer (7/2003 to 7/2004)

Sold several new product concepts for OSI. I also designed them while in Sales. Drafting/Design Supervisor (5/2001 to 7/2003)

Brought new innovative concepts to Drafting Documentation for Production

Responsible for supervising the drafting & documentation department for a company that manufacturers industrial ac & dc instrumentation (15% military)

Responsible for managing an electrical and mechanical design staff for large, PLC controlled, robotic machines for the die casting industry

Introduced many new systems such as an Inventory Management System, AutoCAD, Inter-company and Internet e-mail, time reporting system, engineering change orders, and trained personnel how to use them

Implemented many new Engineering and Manufacturing procedures

Designed a current sensor for high temperature applications using state of the art flux-gate technology

Designed a 100 kilo-watt electron beam power supply, electrically & mechanically

Designed beam deflection systems for electron beam guns

Designed driver electronics for plasma torch power supplies in the kW to MW range

Designed single and three phase, phase locked loop, zero fired thyristor trigger circuitry and feedback options for a successful new product line which grossed over 4 million dollars per year

Designed optically coupled thyristor driver circuitry for power control of large ac power supplies (3-tap and 5-tap, single phase systems)

Designed single and three phase wattmeters

Serviced large, multi-point data acquisition systems ($500,000+) in chlorine plants
