Manage and engineer projects which vary in scope from small local improvements to multi- million dollar capital as well as expense projects from inception to completion.

Manage emergency repairs and projects which will help maintain plant runability.

Conduct feasibility studies and compare alternative approaches to solving engineering, mechanical, and electrical problems.

Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards and specifications.

Develop a solid plan consisting of multiple phases: conceptual engineering, submission for approval, and post approval detailed plan of execution.

Communicate with Corporate as well as Contractors and Vendors as required for each project.

Develop projects Gantt charts from inception to completion.

Develop and submit Capital Expenditure Request (CER) for corporate approval of funds, including details on purpose and benefits of the project, scope of work, time line of project, cost details, cost savings and rate of return calculations.

Coordinate and conduct meetings with internal as well as external resources from various disciplines throughout all project phases from kick-off project till start-up and commissioning.

Manage projects budgets including requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and projects closure.

Interact with accounting department ensuring projects costs do not run over budget.

Perform other duties as required by the Plant and Maintenance Managers. Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor

Provide leadership, direction and resources necessary to safely and effectively manage the electrical and instrumentation function of the mill.

Implement all aspects of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Assign E&I employees to daily and weekly maintenance jobs based on work priorities and established schedules, and supervises employees in assigned tasks.

Manage, direct, develop, and supervise activities and initiatives to provide a safe work environment through the proper use of equipment, identification of hazards, sharing of knowledge and the development, implementation and enforcement of safety and housekeeping standards.

Ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (Arc Flash) and serves as mill expert and trainer for all employees.

Instruct crew regarding job requirements and methods of repairing, servicing, and rebuilding equipment.

Check maintenance work in progress to assure proper workmanship and adhere to schedule.

Perform root-cause analysis and devise corrective action plans to solve problems.

Develop and maintain cooperative working relationship between management and unions.

Provide opportunities for training hourly personnel to improve job performance.

Assist crew in the diagnosis of equipment difficulties and specify the extent and nature of the corrective actions to be taken.

Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priorities, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel Tours mill and areas of maintenance responsibility to discover potential maintenance problems. Assist Maintenance Manager and other Maintenance Supervisors in investigating, diagnosing, and evaluating major equipment malfunctions and develop methods and procedures to improve operating efficiency of equipment.

Responsible for safety OSHA recordable rate (RCR) of direct reports.

Enforce plant rules and safety policies and procedures including housekeeping.

Develop electrical design for installation of a new two boiler system with boiler feed pumps and new deaerator

Assist in developing electrical design for installation of new cleaning systems for a recycled fiber plant

Upgrade boiler systems including addition of flue gas recirculation and a complete rebuild of controls

Install fiber fuel systems to deal with fiber waste

Conduct field surveys and update electrical drawings for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and other industrial process equipment

Thorough knowledge of National Electrical Code, NEC for development of electrical design systems
