I have been with Old Virginia Brick for the past 28 years. I started off at the bottom, in 1986 as a Machine Operator and held that position until 1990 when I was promoted to lead man. After two year of being a lead man at both the extruded and molded plants, I was promoted to foremen over the making departments. In that capacity I was responsible for safety, quality, ordering materials, and maintenance of equipment. In 2000, I was promoted to production manager and was responsible for the production of both molded plants. In 2009, I became the current Plant Manager of both facilities, and currently hold this title. This has given me many opportunities to see things from all angles. Seeing what workers need, and knowing I have been in there situation before, is a strong asset of mine and allows me the opportunity to help them get their job done and in a timely manner.
Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical skills are also strong assets I possess. I am also very skilled in troubleshooting and fixing all machinery involved in the manufacturing of brick.
