Construction Superintendent/Manager with 20 years of proven successful experience and 10 years were a marathon: completed and closed-out 31 successive commercial and institutional projects; several overlapped. All of these projects required daily supervision of all crafts and quantity surveys for materials, change order management due to discoveries resulting in estimating, planning, scheduling.

Detailed reviews of shop drawings for accuracy of structural steel, Pipe, Rotating and Fixed Equipment, and other mechanical systems, metal buildings, structural concrete and the quantity/cost survey. Detailed reviews of architectural and engineered drawings for inconsistencies. Generate RFI (Requests for Information) to immediately clarify and resolve known discrepancies prior to construction or bid day.

I have developed a personal protocol, through a multitude of projects’ learning curve, of building projects’ planning/estimating/bidding/scheduling/cost monitoring/analysis as a seamless progression process. Rain CII, (Lake Charles, LA) 2/6/17 to, a 3-month assignment as a contractor with Sirius Technical Services. T/A planning and Scheduling with a 24-hour tasks. Weekly percentages reports of TA completion. Development and maintenance of an EVA (Earned Value Analysis) Worksheet with daily updating and monitoring of the project’s SPI in order to achieve the timely process and 39MW power generation startup.

GULF ISLAND SHIPYARDS, LLC. (Jennings, LA) 5/9/16 to 11/12/16, TEMP ASSIGNMENT

Planning, Scheduling, Cost Management, Structural Estimates, Quantity Survey/Costs for Hull 369, Hull 370, R&H Tugboat and a VDOT Ferry. Cost Management of a $825-million value EVA Report. Forensic Analysis of a 3-year-old schedule including the updates. Creating work orders and entry into Database, Database management and percent completion updates for a cumulative percent complete/weekly EVA report. A Work Orders’ percentage completion of (12,758 work orders accumulation) versus EVA actual labor comparison percent complete analysis. Estimating total neat weight tonnage on new bids. 1,000 hours.

CUSTOM METAL FABRICATORS, INC. (Lake Charles, LA) 10/12 to 1/4/16, RIF Oilfield work slowdown.

Pipe, Structural, Tanks, Estimating, Planning and Scheduling; this included pipe, fitting and support takeoffs with weld counts, weld costing, RT, PT, MT, PAUT, HYDRO, Coatings, Refractories, Overlays, Preheat and PWHT. Customers included: P66, CITGO, FIRESTONE, AXIALL, PPG, BOISE, PCA, GRACE, Etc., required a schedule submission of shop/project activities along with the bid submission. OEE Studies. Database creation and maintenance of all customers/suppliers/services. Purchasing, procurement and contract management duties 8,000 hours.

LAMAISON BUILDER’S OF SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA (Lake Charles, LA) 3/12-10/12

General Superintendent. Something in the interim while I was waiting for a job something closer to home. Began and ended with a 2 week notice to La-Maison while building a 12-classroom school addition in Napoleonville, LA. Estimating-Planning/Scheduling operation setup. 1,575 Hrs.

PRIOLA CONSTRUCTION CORP (Lake Charles, LA) 4/02 to 2/12, RIF

31 consecutive completed projects in 10 years consisting of hospitals, banks, and schools. 5 years of this work were behavioral hospitals located out of town. I handled all management and administrative project tasks during this period, and included: submittal reviews and approvals, schedule updates, cost analyses, obtaining building permits, employee applications, and subcontractor insurance paperwork, close checks on progress of: plumbers, iron workers, electricians, HVAC, painters, stucco, carpenters, site work, flooring crews, millwork subs and installers. This included tactful communications with the Architect, Engineers and Owners. Scheduling & Planning. Detailed WBS. 23,000 Hrs.

BOILERMAKERS LOCAL 79, Lake Charles, LA 5/99-2/02

Obtained a Mechanic Class and included work at the Entergy powerhouse repairing coal grinders. TEMP WORK

COX’S ELECTRICAL AND CONTRACTING (DeQuincy, LA) 5/97 to 1/98 RIF, just this tower work

Performed duties as a: Project Manager, Field Engineer and Planner/Scheduler. Duties included construction of numerous Nextel tower infrastructural equipment buildings. Many buildings were elevated in swampy areas. Most areas were so remote that planning included all materials and hardware needed for complete and uninterrupted construction. Duties also included detailed CPM scheduling and planning. 1,600 Hrs.

CHEMICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT (Carlyss, LA): Field Engineer. 1992 to 1997 RIF

Industrial Construction Projects included: 1) 2 each 1-million-gallon storage tank pads, tanks, pipe racks, pipe, pump foundations and pumps, and containment, 2) 2 each trucks’ scales, 3) one mechanized sampling rack, 4) signal light communication between truck scale and control room for remote weighing and proceed to dumping. Project Estimation, Budget Establishment, Feasibility Study, Project Design, Bidding, Contracts and Contract Management. 10,000 Hrs.

OLIN CHEMICALS (Lake Charles, LA) 1974 to 1992, RIF, chemical complex shutdown and most equipment sold overseas, natural gas contract lost and new pricing made the operations unprofitable.
