I am contacting you in regards to the recent vacancy posted for a Procurement Manager in your GA location.

I have over 20 years of experience in Procurement, Distribution and Manufacturing. I believe that my strong, diverse background in purchasing and commodity markets make me a viable candidate for this position.

My current position as a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager at CSM provides me with the opportunity to work hand in hand with Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Category teams, and our strategic suppliers in order to ensure a seamless, high quality and competitively priced supply of raw materials to our plants with a focus on delivering solutions that will delight our customers. By establishing quality relationships with our suppliers, I am able to achieve our risk mitigation goals while also ensuring CSM is seen as their partner of choice with whom to launch new innovations and bring technologies.

I joined CSM in 2009 as Category Buyer for flour and since have been responsible for a variety of categories but mainly focused on the major commodities. In 2015 with CSM becoming more Global, I worked with the regional buying teams (EU and USA) and Global Procurement Leadership to develop purchasing and risk management strategies that were tailored to the individual needs of the regional operating companies.

Of the major commodities, I am now responsible for sourcing nuts, herbs spices and seed globally. The in depth exposure I have to these commodity markets and the effect that their price volatility has on our business performance makes me exceptionally positioned to perform outstandingly in this new role. Moreover, I believe my ability to cultivate and establish strong, lasting relationships, in addition to my prior risk management and procurement experience, will prove to be an effective combination for the Senior Buyer position.
