Project: NAP (North American power) This project is for North American power. We are working for NAP to provide utility services (Electric & Gas), enrolling customers, generating invoices for customers, dropping customers, reinstating customer etc. NAP communicates to utility to provide these services to customers. We send requests to utility (outbound) and utility sends responses (inbounds).

I was involved in transaction team. My role was database, GUI and smoke testing, documenting test plans and writing test cases, creating tickets(bugs) and closing them, making JSON files etc. We work on Agile methodology.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Performing database testing using Microsoft SQL server, functional testing, regression testing, GUI testing and smoke testing.

Deal with the JSON files and dropping them to the server.

Keep daily track of progress of user stories in JIRA.

Raise defects, follow them retest them. Close or re-open them as per the result.

Performing database validations. (From files to database and database to files).

Writing & executing test cases.

Understanding requirements and making test plans.

Working on Agile and Scrum methodology which has daily scrums on what we did, doing and what we will do.

Independently, responsible for signing off tickets for user stories.

Test data preparation as per the test cases and scenarios.

Daily handling of EDI files like 810, 867, 814, 820 in JSON format.

Dealing with transactions customer enrollment, dropping customer, reinstating customer, invoicing, payment etc.

Project: German Railways (DB SYSTEL): The Project is for German railways used to plan their activities for the entire year. A complex system which consider each and many things to plan the route, train coaches, timings, services, total load, types of trains etc.to handle such an extensive network of German railways this project is very much capable enough.

On this project, I was extensively involved in testing, analysis, implementation and requirement gathering. Also, worked on client location.

Roles and Responsibilities: -

Understanding the requirements, Change request documents.

Sending queries to the client.

Taking direct calls from functional team of client.

Performed testing such as Smoke, Adhoc, Functional, Regression & Integration testing.

Identifying all the Risk, Assumption, Issue & Dependencies (RAID) of the Project and escalating critical issues to the Team Lead/Test Manager.
