Recruited by COO of $52 million, Tiers one and two automotive supplier of 40+ customers worldwide to enhance operating performance, implement quality system, build lean principles in daily operations, change the culture, and develop a continuous training program.

Oversaw 8 direct, 67 indirect employees and $13.5 million budget across two business units. Drove process improvements throughout the operation, resulting in improved operating performance, product quality, and profitability.

Directed development and implementation of a structured safety team to build safety into the culture with over 1,800 days no lost time.

Instituted a 4-year State of Ohio accredited tool and die apprentice program with 8 participating students.

Manufacturing Engineer, Select Industries Corp., Dayton OH, 2005 to 2012

Lead and managed an $8 million project to include the design and build of a new addition, existing building renovations, property and equipment acquisitions, and product and process flow for entire plant layout.

Established relationships with the City of Dayton and Montgomery County. Wrote and won grants from each. Applied for and received low or zero interest loans to offset a percentage of the expansion cost.

Orchestrated the relocation of 12 stamping presses, 3 weld cells, and 2 precision balancing lines based on solid lean principles on time and on budget while maintaining customer demand.

Developed and oversaw the installation of a central lube system to ensure a consistent mixture of stamping fluids and to hard plum mixture directly to each stamping press, resulting in a significant savings of chemicals and $75k annual savings in labor, increased quality of stampings, improved cleanliness, and reduced safety hazards.

Spearheaded process improvement projects resulting in increased machine utilization, reduction in waste, and increased overall equipment effectiveness.
