One of the lead engineer in a team of 4-person in the Cisco Virtual Office (CVO) project.

oDaily duties include provisioning sometime up to 50 Cisco 881W and 891W routers for USPTO telework program.

oSpecifically, using Arcana Networks’ Manage Express Virtual Office (MEVO), Cisco 2921 router for Secure Deployment Provisioning (SDP), Cisco 1002 ASR routers, my team create a Small-Office Home-Office (SOHO) router which has 2 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) ports added-on.

oThe SOHO router establishes an IPSec tunnel to the Cisco ASR backend with Cisco’s FlexVPN. A Cisco IP phone is also provided with the SOHO router and with Cisco Extension Mobility, the same user phone number at work can be reached over the VPN tunnel.

oTest and validate that each SOHO router can establish the IPSec tunnel, power up the Cisco IP Phone and must provide ip address for a Universal Laptop.

oWorking with users to troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure that the VPN tunnels are established between the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) and the USPTO network.

oTest Cisco AnyConnect v4.2’s Network and VPN modules from the SOHO router tunnel to ensure the UL can establish the VPN before issuing them the USPTO Telework Employees.

oPerforming IOS/code upgrades for the Cisco 881 and 891 routers (bugs fixes and vulnerabilities) using MEVO to push out new configuration templates.

oUpdating DNS record for all SOHO routers using Infoblox.
