Customer: GTL Insurance

Role: Test Lead

Duration: June 2016 to March 2017

Location: Glenview, IL

Project Description:

GTL Insurance offers life, accident, health, Credit life and special risk insurance programs. The project involves testing of GTL online application and also at device level like IPhone, IPad, and Android OS based phones. The project is to target the end user with various devices like iPhone/Ipad to help them perform various activities performed on the web based application on the device itself.

Responsibilities:

●Review software requirements and functional specifications for feasibility from test perspective and contribute in technical reviews.

●Work with business users for Business requirement Analysis

●Engaging with Project managers for current and future releases scope

●Preparing system test plan and integration test plan

●Identify test scenarios based on requirement specification and expected functionality.

●Write Test Scripts for System, Regression Testing, and Executing Test Scripts on the various smart phones like IPhone, Androids & Ipad

●Involved in the execution of Test Scripts on the web browser and different android/windows/iphone OS based smart phones and tablets

●Creating and managing datasheets for automation testing.

Project Description:

Sentry insurance is implementing the GuideWire products for its different Business divisions by replacing the existing legacy systems. Recently Sentry has implemented GuideWire Policy Center product for Transportation business which is policy administration system and is expanding it to its all lines of businesses (LoBs) for different Business Products. Also GuideWire Billing Center will be implemented & upgraded in line with the GuideWire Sentry Policy Center implementation. Cognizant is partnered with Sentry to provide QA support in automating the regression bed and execute the test cases for all LoBs in different GuideWire products.

Responsibilities:

●Create project plan to carry out testing for implementation & upgrade of existing legacy system with GuideWire Policy Center & GuideWire Billing Center

●Testing lead for all functional testing efforts

●Engage with Project managers for current and future releases to get the scope information for current and future sprints

●Planning and reviewing functional requirements for current sprint.

●Coordinating with various teams across different releases for seamless testing of multiple projects.

●Helping the team in removing any blockers and helping in smooth workflow for all activities.

●Providing estimates for testing effort to senior management for each release and sprint.

Project Description:

The project was a master project to cover needs of various small projects involving company’s partners intending to have an adaptive architecture using Hub-spoke model on SOA based infrastructure. The purpose was to have intelligent routing of messages, transforming and sending information in the pre-defined formats that have been specified by the application. The data is then passed to the frontend application for various needs. The various phases include Project initiation and execution, Project Management, Coding, Testing, Production Validation Testing and Project rollout.
