Business Operations Planning Manager, Hewlett-Packard Company Dec 2008 to Oct 2015

Responsibilities

Business Planning lead responsible for Imaging and Printing and Supplies (IPS) categories for Brazil.

External Client Relationship Management experience in managing the performance of the Contract Manufacturer Planning team (CM) and strategic suppliers.

Internal Client Relationship Management duties entailed partnering with Global Procurement and Logistics to provide on time delivery of materials to support production, supervising the Global analytics team in India who owned our internal metrics and scorecard and fostered a collaborative team with Demand Planning and Marketing (GTMU) in the weekly S&OP meetings.

Incorporated internal and external client partners KPI’s into weekly and monthly metrics and scorecards.

Collaborated with HP and CM engineers to produce capacity levels which supported forecast volumes, as well as ensured capacity levels were not excessive resulting in excess Manufacturing costs.

Input planning data into APO, generated 1st draft master production plan, optimized production capacity within the plan by consolidating and reorganizing production of sku’s by product technology considering inventory levels for prioritization and published Plan of Record final production plan to CM and internal business partners.

Supply chain network system and process lead on SAP and APO.

Produced lower level material Demand Plan forecast and planning input data for strategic suppliers.

Collaborated with engineering, Global Procurement services team and CM on Aging expiration and engineering PCO’s to manage roll over and mitigate scrap.

Integration and Regression test lead for Brazil IPS categories in APO and SAP systems.

Key Accomplishments

Project manager delivering QlikView database to produce planning metrics for Imaging and Printing and Supplies categories in Brazil.

Project manager of Brazil Direct partnering with multiple stakeholders and sponsors across multiple organizations to restructure the supply chain network and setup in APO which ultimately delivered HP annual cost savings of +$12M USD.

Within S&OP meetings the team agreed to my proposal of a weekly left to sell carry over process into our weekly planning cycles which improved monthly and quarterly forecast accuracy by 35%.

Successfully achieved 99.99% or higher Product Delivery to Commit with CM +70 months.

Procurement Commodity Manager, Hewlett-Packard Company Nov 2007 to Dec 2008

Responsibilities

As North America (NA) Commodity manager for the Imaging and Printing group (IPG) I was responsible for regional commodity management of Bulk Pen Ink Cartridges, Formatters, Memory, Media Kits, Hardware and Handheld Printing devices where my annual spend exceeded $310M USD.

Internal Client Relationship Management duties in managing the Bulk Pen/Ink factory suppliers, regional Planning, Global Business units (GBU) and Buyer relationships.

External Client Relationship Management responsibilities entailed managing material sourcing with supplier and measuring supplier performance along with continuous supply chain improvements.

Supervised a team of buyers in India who managed procurement activities of my strategic commodities (High dollar and long lead time) and developed KPI’s for their performance metrics.

Collaborated with the GBU and GTMU to ensure the correct NPI schedule and volumes were supported by PO’s placed by the buyers, as well as ensured all Lifetime Buy PO’s were placed within lead time for the correct volumes.

Looked for monthly opportunities to rebalance over stocked inventory within NA or at other regions in order to optimize inventory globally.

Key Accomplishments

Designed and managed a Procurement team dashboard consolidating material status updates from the Commodity managers and buyers into a single report and published internally with partners and Management.

Outsourced procurement of non-strategic (Low dollar and short lead time) commodities to CM and measured their performance to maintain proper inventory levels.

Reduced formatter inventory by 3 days/$1.2M USD, by collaborating with Global Analytics group in India to track sell thru performance, service level minimums, Lead time, material costs and volumes to determine best suited Days of Supply target by sku (Browns formula).

Negotiated stakeholder buy in on a EOL process for Formatters and Memory which reduced rollover exposure by 90%.

Reduced HW supplier lead time from 16 weeks down to 12 weeks.

Reduced Handheld Printing Device MOQ with supplier reducing inventory on hand.

Influenced Formatter and Bulk Pen factories to leverage RMA process used by Printer engine factories which helped process defective materials quicker.

Business Systems Analyst, Hewlett-Packard Company Feb 2004 to Nov 2007

Responsibilities

As Procurement BSA, my internal Client Relationship Management responsibilities consisted of SAP Security access permission to NA buyers, SAP Purchasing, super user responsibilities to the entire organization, unit, integration and regression testing on behalf of Procurement, Project manager on IT Development and On Boarding projects in SAP and APO.

My external Client Relationship Management responsibilities were around collaboration with CM’s and Distribution Center partners around testing order management solutions and messaging.

Communicated timing, quality, cost and scope of projects to Sponsors and stakeholders.

Partnered with IT and project SME’s to ensure business requirements documents were clear ensuring the correct solution were developed.

Business process owner of all Strategic Commodity Procurement activities for NA IPG.

Transition project manager offshoring Procurement responsibilities of strategic commodities to buyers in India.

Maintained SAP Outbound PO messaging tables for edi and xml transmission.

Key Accomplishments

As SAP ALE Project manager migrated the legacy Buy/Sell process to standard SAP ALE functionality.

Improved PO receipt accuracy to 100% with Shipment based receiving project which enabled PO receipts against the shipment ASN’s.

Core team member on a project that changed how we partner with our CM by migrating from a production order model to designing a Plug and Play Buy/Sell model (M2V) where we buy FGI from the CM. Gathered all Biz requirements from the Procurement and Planning teams to incorporate into the project development. Produced all the process documentation that supported the new business systems model.

Partnered the roll out of M2V process to 3 CM’s at 4 different locations.

Migrated formatter and memory planning from VMI tool to APO.

NPI/EOL Manager, Hewlett-Packard Company Aug 2002 to Feb 2004

As the NA NPI/EOL Manager for the IPG I was responsible for coordinating the Global Business Unit NPI project schedule with the buyers, planning, Operations and CM in order to ensure no delays to New Product Introduction, or any excess scrap occurs on the roll over project. Set up all master data in SAP. Sent forecasts for all parts to suppliers and Purchased all materials for pre-ramp builds and work with buyers to place PO’s to support ramp production volumes. Reviewed buyer PO’s to support ramp ensuring delivery and quantity occurs on time to meet schedule. Tracked and reported all NPI material and machine setup costs back to management. Reported any projected pre ramp or ramp build schedule delays with projected recovery to internal partners and CM. Delivered 11/11 NPI projects without delay across two different CM’s while limiting scrap on the roll over products to less than $50K.

Senior Buyer, Hewlett-Packard Company Sep 2001 to Aug 2002

Formatter and Memory forecasting and PO placement/management within a Vendor Managed Inventory supply chain. Reviewed and over wrote Procurement and Planning data flow in SMI tool (Keychain) when problems occurred with the automated flow in order to drive the proper planning data for our suppliers. Root caused and pareto charted all disconnects associated with automated data exchange flow output from SAP and worked with IT department to resolve the data exchange issues. Communicated all shortages and excess material issues to the Regional and Global commodity managers, as well as the reason seeking their assistance to resolve the issues. Updated PO’s with revised shipment dates considering Transportation times provided by Logistics. Reviewed EOL schedules and LTB purchases with the regional and Global commodity manager to ensure we are aligned. Measured SMI vendor performance to inventory Targets and Min/Max levels.

Procurement Coordinator, Hewlett-Packard Company Apr 2000 to Sep 2001

PO placement and PO management of all Canon LaserJet Engines, Toners and accessories. Updated revised delivery schedules using Logistics transportation times considering when Canon estimated freight to arrive at port. Resolved any PO receipt discrepancies that resulted in a PO being closed early or remaining open and late. Procurement super user regarding any edi or xml transmission issues to our CM’s and DC’s. Reported any PO delays impacting production schedule to FGI Supply planners. Updated pricing on Canon PO’s, based on ship month and price for that month before receipts were posted to prevent PO Purchase Price Variance. Ensured all Inkjet Printer engines were received timely to the correct PO’s. Coordinated delivery schedules of engines and accessories with Logistics and updated PO’s accordingly. Reported engine and accessory PO delays that impacted FGI production schedules. Reconciled over $500M of PO’s with the Printer engine factories in Asia, 3rd Party LSP (Menlo Logistics) and SAP by obtaining POD’s on all Deliveries over the course of 2 years back. Helped drive business requirement with IT and the factory that modified the legacy system Advanced Shipment Notification to that which we used to enable the Shipment Based receiving process.
