As an Oracle DBA I work cohesively with my team to establish a data secure environment while seeing that we have minimal downtime. In this position I am responsible for daytime and nighttime activities.

Proactively monitor production database tablespaces, instance, alert logs etc by utilizing CRON job and Linux bash script

Performed backup and restore functions for Oracle 11g and 12c databases using RMAN and Data Pump as needed

Provision Oracle environments on multiple OS platforms (installation and configuration)

Experienced in installing GI and configuring software features (such as ASM and ACFS)

Managed users accounts, privileges and access control

Work with senior DBA’s to troubleshoot performance and SQL issues by analyzing Explain Plan, Auto Trace and AWR

Responsible for documenting accurate and detail documentation on all database issues and procedures

Responsible for applying quarterly CPUs/PSUs utilizing Opatch

Upgrade database from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4

Perform routine database refresh from production schemas to pre-prod and testing environments
