WORK EXPERIENCE:
Aug 11 – Present Fluor Corporation – Pipeline Design / Drafting Supervisor
Direct a team of skilled Designers and Drafters. Assigns and directs designers and drafters with duties and daily tasks to complete complex technical design projects. Prepare complex Manufacturing Drawings, Alignment Sheets, Pipeline Routing Drawings, P&ID, Schematics, Block Diagrams, Installation Drawings, Rigging Drawings and Detail Layout Drawings to meet Project Requirements. Design complex components using 2D or 3D design software. Check drawings for completeness and accuracy; to meet either industry or company standards. Assist the Engineering Manager as required. Interface with other Disciplines. Evaluate performance and technical skills of designers and drafters. Provide technical expertise, guidance, training and mentoring to the designers and drafters. Actively participate in Fluor’s Knowledge Community and other available resources. Participate in department training programs/seminars and on-line training. Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals. Have a direct involved in resource selection. Perform other duties as assigned.
Feb 11 – Aug 11 Contract (Temporary- Self Employed) CAD Consulted
My responsibility was to update manufacturing drawings from original hand drawn to CAD drawings, work with the Quality Mangers to write the ISO 9000 and Drawing Office Procedures for Design and Drafting. Create and update all drawings and documents as needed. Mentor, Supervise and provide guidance’s to the drafters and designers as needed.
Aug 06 –Feb 11 Subsea 7 (US) LLC – Cad Manager (Design Supervisor – All Projects)
Supervise, assign, check and approve all work for the Design and Drafting Department. Complete complex technical design projects, installation procedure drawings, fabrication drawings, vessel layout and interface/interference checks/control. Supervise the regional design team. Responsible for the quality, completeness and accuracy of produced documentation. Evaluate performance and provide technical expertise and guidance, training and mentoring. Directly involved in the selection of resources, which include; personnel, equipment and software.
Jan 01 – Aug 06 Technip – Senior Designer
Create completed manufacturing drawings and procedure drawings for installation and customer review. Prepare final detail and assembly drawings. Creating drawings in 2-D & 3-D. Maintaining all documents per company standards, including (but not limited to) drawings and procedures. As Senior Designer, I am responsible for all time estimates and other personnel within the group. Prepare information for all design reviews.
March 98 – Jan 01 FMC Energy System – Subsea Control Systems - Design/Drafter
Create complete product layouts, working detail drawings, sub-assemblies, final assemblies and data base information from rough sketches, mark-up prints and other reference material. Preparing time estimates for projects. Preparing final detail and assembly drawings for Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing. Prepare information for all design reviews.
