Innovate and deploy field modification kits for Field Engineers. Monitor field changes and compose technical reports for electrical devices utilized in various projects.

Author technical specification documents which focus on design, construction materials, manufacturing, quality, inspection and testing.

PROJECTS

Design of a Controller to operate a Buck Controller in Voltage Control Mode (June’14)

Designed a Voltage controller using BODE PLOT and PSpice. The K-factor method to decide the specs of the components to be used in the controller. The operation of a Buck controller in Voltage Control Mode with the errors falling in the acceptable range.

Micro grid analysis of Power systems using Power World (October’14)

Designed a micro grid topology comprising of industrial and residential loads. The total daily active and reactive energy consumption and the energy costs were evaluated under different operating conditions. The voltage ranges at different buses were calculated and the necessity for voltage regulation were evaluated. Also the power flow solutions were obtained by using Newton-Raphson method compared with those obtained during Power World Simulation.

Micro grid analysis of Power systems using PSSE (November’14)

Designed a micro grid topology comprising of industrial and residential loads. The total daily active and reactive energy consumption and the energy costs were evaluated under different operating conditions. The voltage ranges at different buses were calculated and the necessity for voltage regulation were evaluated.

Performance Analysis of a 6-pole Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (December’15)

For a fixed load PMSG using the design parameters, performance evaluation is carried out to determine Stator Voltages and Currents, mechanical power and the power factor of operation. At different steady state rotor speeds performance evaluations are carried out. The calculation of different parameters are carried out using the d-axis and q-axis equivalent circuits of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator.

Analysis of Voltage and Current Harmonics of a Thyristor Rectifier (June’15)

Analyzed the samples recorded for a 12-pulse 3-phase thyristor rectifier using MATLAB. The voltage magnitudes and their respective phase were calculated and their respective plots were obtained. The true and apparent powers were calculated alongside the total current and voltage harmonic distortions.
