Used COBOL, DB/2, and JCL on an almost daily basis. Used VSAM whenever needed. Cut down time to fix defects by 50%. Supervised testing of all fixes to guarantee expected results. Compiled daily status reports to keep management abreast of progress.

Maintained and developed the Call Accounting and Expense Allocation system (UBC). The system handled data collection from user sites or feeds, data verification, core reporting, on-line user reporting, and expense allocation. Part of the team that converted processing from an HP to an AS/400 environment.
Verified daily that all data feeds from 60 clients were correctly processed. Provided production support as needed to insure that all daily, weekly, and monthly systems completed successfully.

AT&T Pre-Paid Calling Card - Maintained data capture and billing applications using RPG in an AS/400 environment. Later, stepped up and became team leader of the Production Support team.
Verizon & MCI - Performed company migrations using COBOL II and DB2. Programs were written/modified IMS DB/DC.
AT&T. Created an interface for Vality, a data parsing vendor. Addresses were corrected so proper taxing would occur, gaining additional revenue. Received a Spot Award from AT&T for my work.

1993 - 1996. Supported the Masterpiece application, a multi-functional system that included data capture, premium calculation, policy issuance, and print multiple business lines.
1986 - 1993 Lead programmer for the ASDC System, a self-contained auto system encompassing data capture through policy issuance. Data capture was in CICS and the remainder in COBOL.
1976 - 1983 Senior Programmer for auto and inquiry system. Programs written in COBOL and IMS. Projects were the creation of a vin number data base and links to Equifax to obtain drivers violation/accident history.
Most programs at this company were designed using IMS data bases.
