Even though my title was IT Director it hides the fact that I have been a one man shop for about 9 years and managed small teams for 6 years.

Thank you for the opportunity to apply with your company. I moved to Eugene 16 years ago and worked with two businesses that supported my passion for Information Technology. With my 10 years at WHA Insurance my portfolio not only includes IT Director but I assisted in Marketing and then changed Professions to Insurance Producer. My passion in IT, starts with infrastructure, evolving the technology platform to accept continuous improvements to fit the needs and desired competitive advantages is key.

Examples of those technologies include a mix of localized and cloud based systems, mobile access, security risk management, and digital marketing. It is not that technology is always changing, it is how we best utilize it, fitting the business strategy to the budgeted plan. Marketing on the other side brings the customer closer to the product and presents us the opportunity why you should buy from us. Learning your business and applying technologies that increase efficiency and hard to reach goals such as create a new revenue stream or increase current market share really excite me.

Even after thorough research often systems throw us unexpected challenges and don’t always play nice like the impressive demos and referrals we observe. This is where I love to step up with my vast experience and exhaust all avenues to find the successful solutions. This is how I perceive my role and utilizing current and emerging technologies to truly support the business.

MY PASSION

My first introduction to computers was the fourth grade. That year I received a Tandy64k for Christmas. By the sixth grade I was writing code that received OM errors Out of Memory. By 16 I had started consulting and until this day still do. In the only two companies that I have worked for I have replaced both Network Infrastructures, either upgraded or replaced servers.
