WORK EXPERIENCE

Stem plus biotech. pvt. Ltd., Sangli, India July 2015 – December 2015 Patient care Associate

• Cryopreservation and banking of cord blood.

• Helped clients to solve doubts regarding cord blood banking and explained benefits if it.

• Counselled patients on stem cell therapies on neurodegenerative diseases and autoimmune diseases.

• Interpreted patient history and discuss it with clinicians to set up protocol for therapy.

• Stood distinctively in team as a team member capable to work as process and service engineer and customer support as well.

Stem plus biotech. pvt. Ltd., Sangli, India January 2015 – June 2015 Intern

• Preparation of decellularized scaffolds and biodegradable scaffolds.

• Testing cytoskeletal make up, biocompatibility and mechanical properties of the scaffolds.

• Designing and setting up bioreactor for recellularization of scaffolds.

• Collection of cord blood and tissue and isolation of stem cells from samples collected.

• Enhanced and maintained technical knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding environment safety.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

3D printing of scaffolds using in-house built 3D printer, University of Bridgeport In progress

• 3D printing of PLA/PEG as scaffold for orthopaedic implant. Preparation of acellular scaffold for blood vessel tissue engineering. January 2015 – June2015 D Y Patil University, Kolhapur, India.

• Prepared biocompatible decellularized scaffold for blood vessel tissue engineering from a xenogeneic source.

• Evaluated scaffold by Immunohistochemistry(IHC) and other staining methods.

• Also tested the mechanical properties of the scaffold in comparison to native blood vessel.

• Developed bioreactor and its assembly for recellularization of the scaffold. Incorporation of Stem cells and nanoparticles for wound healing. January 2014 – June2014 D Y Patil University, Kolhapur, India.

• Studied the potency of adipose derived and bone marrow derived stem cells for wound healing.

• Also studied the antibacterial property of titanium oxide(TiO2) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles.

• Thereby, hypothesized that based on significance of nanoparticles and their interaction with stem cells they can be incorporated together for wound healing.
