Independent Study

Energy-Efficient Design Methodologies: High-Performance VLSI Adders May 2015 – July 2015

Wright State University Dayton, OH

• Analyzed the critical path including input test vectors and the gate count on the critical path for the given fast and energy-efficient parallel adders.

• Determined the number of faults detected, test patterns and fault coverage using Verilog code.

Course Project

Power Electronics

• Analyzed the high frequency low voltage MOSFETs using MATLAB programming and saber electronics modeling tool.

• Studied Low power high frequency MOSFETs and their electrical characteristics.

• Designed the model of MOSFET using saber to study static and dynamic characteristics.

Electrical Engineer Intern

Role: Substation Intern Aug 2013- June 2014

Rao’s Engineering Works Hyderabad, India

Got trained on physical substation design, control substation design.

Involved in electric transmission line and substation projects with aiding designers and Engineers in the design.

Assisted with analyzing schematics and one-line diagrams for substation control house relays and breakers.

Designed a step plan and retrofit for old SEL gateways.

Built/ designed an electronic metering program to give up to date info on one of the company's energy storage system battery arrays.

Helped oversee construction on a number of substation. Preformed ground well testing for a substation.

Designed an updated weather monitoring system for an out of date substation.

Assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables for electric substation projects.

Developed technical specifications, performed substation conceptual layouts, provided direction and guidance to drafters and designers.

Responsible for assisting Engineers with multiple projects and providing a detailed design package that complies with applicable substation engineering design standards and all safety codes

Technical Major Project Jan 2013- May 2013

JNTU Hyderabad, India

Role: Team Lead for a group size of 4

• Neural-network- based integrated Electronic Load controller for Isolated Asynchronous Generators in small hydro generation.

This project deals with a neural-network (NN)-based integrated electronic load controller (IELC) for an isolated asynchronous generator (IAG) driven by a constant-power small hydro uncontrolled turbine feeding three-phase four-wire loads. The proposed IELC, with the generating system, is modeled and simulated in MATLAB.

Technical Mini Project May 2012- July 2012

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited- BHEL Hyderabad, India

• Study of manufacturing process of Turbo Generator.

In our project we have made a detailed study of the VPI system of insulation. The latest technology for insulation in the world adapted by B.H.E.L (HYD) unit is “Vacuum Pressure Impregnation” which is of resin poor thermosetting type. This type is preferred as it is highly reliable and possesses good mechanical, thermal properties and dielectric strength. As the quantity of resin used is less, the overall cost of insulation is reduced.

Education:

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering April 2016

Wright State University, GPA- 3.5 Dayton, OH

Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering May 2013

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, GPA- 3.21 Hyderabad, India

Accomplishments and Activities:

• Worked as a student coordinator at University Centre for International Education at Wright State University.

• Elected as Chairperson of IEEE Jayamukhi Student Branch for the year 03/12 to 03/13 through voting by IEEE student members.

• Organized more than twelve national level events successfully under IEEE in an academic year which stood as a bench mark of all time and nominated for Vibrant Student Branch award for the first time since its inception.

• Presented a paper on Palm Vein Technology in a national level technical event hosted by IEEE.

• Selected as one of the Ambassador for event Techkriti-13, hosted by IIT Kanpur for which only 150 members were selected throughout India through telephonic interview.

• Participated in National Symposium and Technology Exhibition hosted by IEEE where we got great exposure to many industries, their manufacturing products, clients and requirements.
