Alcatraz: VR Escape Room
Co-Developed “Alcatraz: VR Escape room”, a HTC VIVE virtual reality escape room in Unity and C#.
Programmed game logic and puzzles using class inheritance and interfaces. Integrated VIVE controllers, locomotion, and menu system.
Modeled and textured the environment, furniture, and puzzle assets. Spin the Boat (Multiplayer) – Global Game Jam 2017
Collaborated with 4 others to develop a multiplayer “air console” type game where any number of players can influence the fate of the boat through their mobile phone.
Developed the game using UNITY and the backend using Nodejs, and Socket.io to capture and process events from mobile devices connected to the web app.
Implemented networked game logic through socket callback functions on client and server. Self-Balancing Robot (Control System)
Built and wrote the firmware for a two wheeled self-balancing robot using two motors with quadrature encoders, MPU-6050 IMU, Arduino and a HC-05 Bluetooth module.
Tuned two PID control loops to stabilize the pitch and position of the self-balancing two wheeled robot.
Developed the firmware to control the pitch, and rotation of the self-balancing robot via Bluetooth. Energy Harvesting Belt
Designed, engineered, and prototyped a Peltier belt to convert temperature differentials between the human body and the air into electrical current via the “Seebeck Effect” to trickle charge a battery. Small Energy Harvesting Pendulum
Prototyped a miniature pendulum to harvest rotational motion into electrical potential via magnetic induction for charging super capacitors in wearables.

Technical Design Specialist Think2Thing Inc. Apr’ 14 – Current
Developed “Burning of the Ivory Tusks” and “The Last Northern White Rhino” HTC Vive VR experiences for Ed Burtynsky’s documentary “ANTHROPOCENE”, and a VR museum to house rare 3D scanned artifacts: o Used UNITY and C# to script VIVE controller events, menu system, game logic, AI behavior, and special effects.
o Used photogrammetry and structured light technologies to capture major assets and developed retopology workflows to convert them into low poly, fully textured models for real-time applications. o Modeled Sudan, and other assets using organic and hard surfacing techniques.
Programmed a semi-automated color management system for color 3D printing, in Python and Photoshop: o Reduced a laborious 4-hour color matching process down to a click of a button o Produced highly accurate and realistic color 3D prints at a significantly reduced overhead cost. o As a result, enabled Think2Thing to win big clients like Autodesk, Bombardier and Bata Shoe.
Wrote the firmware to process digital signals, and motorize a myoelectric prosthetic arm, as part of a project with Hands for Kids, to increase the accessibility of this technology for disabled kids in developing countries.
Key contributor in producing an algorithmically-generated, architectural, 3D printed canopy for NOTA BENE.
Reproduced rare artifacts (like HMS Erebus Bell) for the Royal Ontario Museum, and Museum of Vancouver using 3D scanning and 3D printing technologies.
