U.S. MARINE CORPS 29 Palms, CA – 2013 to 2017
Systems Administrator (August 2014 to January 2017)
Performed troubleshooting within Unix, Linux (Red Hat), and various Microsoft environments in order to meet and exceed the demands of customers from all departments of the organization.
Utilized VMware, Hyper-V Manager, and ESXi Blade servers, using remote support when necessary. Supported multiple virtual server environments.
Active Directory, Microsoft DHCP, and DNS services proficiency exercised in the administration of nine systems using both military and commercial off-the-shelf hardware.
Supervised the design and configuration of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks featuring over fifty users and varying server connections, satisfying end-user needs.
Coordinated support for over $9.5 million worth of equipment which is used to train entry-level personnel to perform tasks and duties in their related career field.
Through EventSentry and Wireshark master consoles were operated to monitor equipment performance as well as coordinate computer access.
Trained and mentored junior staff in all responsibilities and aspects of the work environment to develop their skills and form a cohesive unit of employees.

Received an individual Letter of Commendation from the Commander for accomplishing full system operability within twenty-four hours of a sudden power outage that shut down three live systems valued at over $40 million.
Raised the quality of the workplace to a level that received accolades from regional inspectors by improving processes and delegating tasks more evenly among the staff. Three team members also received Letters of Commendation from the commanding General for their performance during the inspection.
