My Duties included, importing Step files of 3D Rhino Cad files to a 3D router and programming the Models to fit the cutting planes of the router Cut and Shape the model to model. Prep the wood or High Temp foam pattern. For producing a soft tool wet layup. Most often these molds were made from room temp resin. Occasionally made to carbon fiber materials and vacuum bagged, cured in an oven or an auto-clave. having to produce a wide variety to tooling for trim gauges, holding fixtures, saw fixtures, drill plates and router fixtures. I manufactured and repaired large and small fiber glass setback router jigs made concrete and metallic stretch dies for aircraft skins. Often, we would have to produce new tools from old media. Making a plaster and hemp reinforced splash to replicate the existing tooling. Changing mold line and trim, hole locates. Often made very large scale Chemical milling templates for aerospace /aircraft skins. Sometimes we made Carbon fiber tools for high temp. applications
