Title: Replacement of steel slag on concrete as fine aggretate

Synopsis: The objective of the project is to develop green (eco-friendly) construction material which would lead to reduction of waste disposal towards landfill and thus contributes to sustainable infrastructure development. In this study, structural characteristics of aerated light weight concrete have been assessed with respect to potential for large scale utilization of bagasse ash and e-plastic waste. Utilization of bagasse have been examined at various proportion of 0%, 10%, 20 compressive strength.%, 30%, 40%, 50% and E-plastics have been examined at 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%. Title: Influence of steel slag on mechanical and durability properties of Concrete

Synopsis: The objective of the project is to identify the effective ways to re-utilize the use of concrete is increasing day by day, so our natural resources get depleted due to the production of concrete. In order to reduce this environmental problem we should find out materials that can substitute the natural resources, steel slag is an industrial by-product formed during the manufacturing of steel and silica fume are also one of the industrial by-product formed during the production of alloys of silicon. Various studies were carried out for the replacement of cement and aggregate and some of the literatures are have been discussed briefly, many studies have been carried out in this area.
