OBJECTIVE

I am highly proficient at organizing and performing EPIC Projects in the Design / Build Construction business, the risks associated with them, and the mitigation methods typically employed. I am highly proficient at conceptualizing, implementing, executing, commissioning and closing out projects utilizing the Project Management Institutes recommended practices and guidelines coupled with a solid Business Management, Construction and Engineering background, which have resulted in many successful projects.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I was a member of the Consortium Team of Domestic and Venezuelan Contractors that negotiated the contract T&C’s with ConocoPhillips for the CoroCoro Topsides. CoroCoro is the largest Topsides ever built in Venezuela.

I was the leader of the J. Ray McDermott Team in the negotiations and capture of a $1,000,000,000+ contract with BP, which resulted in 5-1/2 years of the most profitable work ever for J. Ray McDermott, Morgan City Division.

I was nominated to The J. Ray McDermott Wall of Fame three times and my Thunder Horse Project Management Team once for outstanding performance.

I was the first person at J. Ray McDermott to achieve Project Management Professional Certification.

I was the Project Manager on Mobil 823A which was one of the first platforms to address the use of high nickel alloy solutions to the production of sour gas wells.

I was the Project Manager on the “American Queen” a paddlewheel propelled Mississippi River Cruise Ship, which was entered into the 1996 Marine Log as a Vessel of Distinction. She still sails up and down the Mississippi & Ohio Rivers.

I was the Hook-up, Commissioning and Start-up lead for a group of Oil and Gas Platforms and pipelines in Angola, West Africa for Texaco.

Construction Manager

Worley Parsons is a leading worldwide Engineering company with offices on all of the continents. I am currently assisting with Construction (structural, piping and E&I) and Commissioning Work Packages development for the conversion of the Shell Boxer GC19 Offshore Production Platform to a Pipeline Hub and multiple Electrical upgrades for Shell Pipeline Facilities Nationwide. I was Manager in our Construction Services Department performing constructability studies, execution planning and developing turnkey project work packages for our Project and Modifications group for Thunder Horse South Development for use on the BP Thunder Horse Semi-submersible.

General Marine Contractors LLC 2/11 to 8/11

General Marine Contractors is a privately owned global Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Pipeline Construction Contractor. I was the Project Manager in charge of the Feed, Detailed Engineering, Budget and RFQ process for a Buoyant Tower, Deck and Facilities that was fabricated in China and Installed in Offshore Peru for BPZ Energy.

MEITEC is a privately owned worldwide marine and onshore Electrical and Instrumentation Contractor with its operations office located in La Porte Texas. Specialties are gas compression and oil pumping/storage stations, drilling rigs, offshore interconnect and buildings. I was responsible for assisting in the proposal process, updating project controls, developing new clients, and working with subcontractors and their proposals. I also completed several Gas Plant Compression Facility upgrades.

Project Construction Management Service is a self owned Louisiana Limited Liability Company formed to perform contract work for Cleco on their world Class Rodemacher 3 Circulating Fluidized Bed for Pet Coke fuel technology Electrical Power Plant. I was responsible for reviewing Shaw Group Electrical drawings and construction for compliance to Specifications and Codes and performing various other activities throughout the facility. I was also managing the design and construction of a landfill and ash hydration facility for the plant.

Sr. Electrical Engineer

Gusto MSC is a worldwide company offering design, engineering, procurement, project management and consultancy services primarily to the offshore oil and gas, and civil construction sectors. I was responsible for the detail electrical design and coordination with other disciplines of a series of three semi-submersible, dynamically positioned drilling rigs that were built in the Middle East.

Dynamic Industries, Inc. is a privately owned worldwide company that has become one of the leading fabrication and oilfield services companies serving the upstream and downstream sectors of the energy industry. I was responsible for building a team of expatriates and nationals, setting up all project controls and procedures and fabricating the ConocoPhillips Corocoro Central Production Facility (7500MT), which is the first oil, and gas production platform ever built in Venezuela. I lead a consortium of companies that performed the construction work with Dynamic Industries providing the Project Management, construction oversight, planning, control, problem solving and client interface.

J. Ray McDermott is a leading worldwide marine solutions company with fabrication facilities in the Americas, Middle East, Caspian and Asia Pacific. Services include design, fabrication, procurement, transportation and installation of offshore platforms, and installation of offshore pipelines.

Project Manager: J. Ray McDermott, Inc., Fabrication Division

I was responsible for contract negotiations, estimating, safety, environmental, productivity, cost performance, engineering constructability, bulk procurement, fabrication, managing subcontractors, and load out of the BP Thunder Horse Topsides Modules, the largest of the BP Deepwater Development Program at 22,000 tons. BP has publicized it as the largest PDQ in the world. Thunder Horse is classed by the ABS as Maltese Cross A1 Floating offshore Installation.

I was responsible for sale of existing inventory of salvaged offshore platforms and equipment. I developed sales tools to be able to identify upcoming salvages and to identify matches for upcoming platform demand for lease purchases. I developed sales tools to show potential clients what I had in inventory. I performed estimating, proposal development, contract development, specifications development, engineering, procurement, fabrication/refurbishment, managed subcontractors, and Installation of various types of refurbishment projects for Shell, Freeport McMoran, Chevron, Basin, Equitable, PetroQuest, Texaco and Amoco.

I was responsible for proposals, contract negotiations, engineering, procurement, fabrication and managing subcontractors for multiple various types of projects both new construction and refurbishment of jackets and decks performed by other Project Managers.

I was responsible for the detailed engineering, procurement, managing subcontractors and fabrication/refurbishment for various types of refurbishment projects for UMC, Pogo, Zilkha, and F.W. Oil.

I was responsible for the detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, and managing subcontractors for Texaco’s, Chuchupa “B”. This was a 4-Pile jacket and deck with facilities for Bogota, Colombia.

I was responsible for Contract negotiations, the design and construction of the “American Queen” for Delta Queen Steamboat Company. She is, A.B.S. Classed, U.S.C.G. approved, propelled by steam driven paddle wheel and electric Z-Drive thrusters. She can carry 420 overnight cruise passengers up and down the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers.

I was responsible for developing scope/punch list of work for offshore hook-up, commissioning and start up in Offshore Angola West Africa. I was responsible for development and closeout of commissioning documentation packages. I performed commissioning and start-up activities for various Texaco Lombo West Africa oil production platforms.

I was responsible for coordinating efforts of various company departments to produce a specific completed project in accordance with client’s specifications and drawings. I was also the Lead in organizing and running the offshore crews installing and completing the facility installations in Mobile Bay, Alabama. Projects completed: Mobil Mobile Bay 76A, 77B, 76D, 76 Aux., and 95E Production Platforms, Pipelines and Facilities.

Project Engineer: McDermott Shipyard New Iberia Division

I was responsible for bid preparations, engineering design and detailing, fabrication and commissioning of supply boats, tug boats, drilling rigs, quarters buildings, generator packages, barges, and production platforms. I designed and added electrical power and gas utilities to a new 4 bay fabrication building. I designed and added a building for our numerical control programming and plate burning facilities.
